General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

My War logs playthrough had my points evenly spread through each tree and I was on EXTREME difficulty so every fight was torture. Fuck those Technomancer Praetorians at the end, brutal.

That game is brutal on extreme no matter what your build is. The best way to turn the odds in your favor is to play a evil character. Having very good karma will give you a 50% discount in all shops, but you wont get that until you're near the end of the game. Being very evil gives you a passive that increases the chance to wound targets and with all the money you get from killing people you don't have to conserve your grenades, ammo and healing items.

It also gives your companions a buff so they can be more survivable and slightly less useless. Most of my fights are dodging and hitting ranged and standard melee, nail gunning technomancers, and mining shields. I won the worm fight after dying 8 times by spamming grenades, shields, and hitting it on the ground. I only use the weapon buff and shield powers and save the other two for when it's just one or two guys because it takes forever to cast.

Just realized i finally have a laptop that can run Witcher 3 without issues. Gonna buy the DLC since it's on sale.

I did do a playthrough with my previous laptop four years ago but since that laptop was shit, it could barely run the game. And to me personally playing a game with an underpowered rig makes the whole experience way less enjoyable. Maybe i should have just waited until i got a better laptop.

I would wait a month or two before getting a new gaming laptop. Computer parts and gaming PC's are low in stock right now due to everyone wanting to update to next gen. The ones that are in stock or on sale are double the price that they would be normally. I would recommend waiting for them to go back in stock instead of supporting scalpers and their sleazy practices.

At least it is better and will lasts. Hopefully you didn't pay too much. Don't like seeing people getting ripped off.

I ordered it from a pc shop that i'm pretty good friends with the owners, and they even occasionally let me buy things for cheaper. And from the prices i'm checking from similar laptops online, it seems to be the average for a laptop with the specs it has.

I've been playing Fallout, due to having time off from work I can actually sit down and play for a couple of hours uninterrupted every day. Also been playing quite a bit of BeamNG. Just driving around and finding new and fun ways to crash into things is really entertaining, surprisingly.

Been thinking of getting Dragon Quest 11, but it's not on sale at the moment unfortunately. Might just bite the bullet and buy it anyway.
I think you should buy it.

It was my first Dragon's Quest and it's become one of my all time favorite JRPGs.

It starts off so generic but that it merely a ploy to twist the entire shit up and create a really cool and compelling narrative.

All the characters were super likable.

I just loved it man and if you like JRPG's it's certainly worth checking out.

I actually already played some Dragon Quest games, mainly 7, 8 and 9, so i know what to expect. Again, might just buy it anyway. But i am gonna add it to my wishlist for now and maybe catch it on a future sale.

Thar's fair.

It's probably best that way given you're not sure.

Hope you're able to find a copy soon because it is a great game.

Character creation is limited (male only and you always have a noticeable face scar) and you get 4 skill trees. Guardian typical sword and board tank, Warrior uses a staff, Rouge uses dagger and gun, Technomancer is more of a sub class that enhances the others. It's best to focus on one class or you'll never be good at any of them. There's different endings based on what factions you favor and other choices made. Don't expect it to be as good as NV, it's a decent AA game and is only $5 on steam until the 5th.

Damn. Good to know.

NV really was sorta unique I guess....

That's a spicy meatball buddy. Also Fallout 1 lacks depth and the writing is actually kind of bad. Still a great game though
