Trump has went too far.
An update on this, finished the base game and the expansions. I pretty much agree with everyone that claims the expansions are better than the main game. Better writting, better characters, better pacing, better quests and so on, and it doesn't have the bloat of the main game.I'm honestly starting to dislike just how spacious Witcher 3's world. I'm enjoying a lot of the quests, the writing, the characters and even the combat to an extent (it does devolve into flipping around like a ballerina), but holy shit the world didn't need to be this big.
I don't mind a lot of the locations being monster's nests, guarded treasures, bandit camps and so on, not every location is meant to be special and filled with content. But there's a lot of dead space, where you just basically running in a straight line to your next location without encountering anything or anyone, and it's exhausting. It feels it's like this because Skyrim was big as well, when being too big was a problem in Skyrim as well. If Witcher 3's world was shrunken down, it would have been more enjoyable to me.
I much prefer Witcher 1 to either sequel; they discarded most of what I liked about the mechanics in favor of the then (and still) current fads. Witcher 1 was superb.I'm honestly starting to dislike just how spacious Witcher 3's world. Defeated Shodan today and I have now completed System Shock 1 for the first time! I begun back in early December and as you can probably tell I don't have that much time for gaming these days.I'm playing System Shock 1 and this time I'm going to finish it!
Hell yeah. Glad you enjoyed it. One of my favorite immersive sim games. Did you use the Enhanced Edition?Defeated Shodan today and I have now completed System Shock 1 for the first time! I begun back in early December and as you can probably tell I don't have that much time for gaming these days.
But it feels damn good to have finished it! Especially since there's a remaster coming. It will feel much better playing the remaster now that I have first hand experience of the original.
I would definitely recommend anyone to try it out for themselves. It's a very feature rich immersive sim and if you like that type of gameplay you will very much enjoy this. I would guess that the graphics and the clunky interface is what turns people off but I now know that you get used to it quite quickly. Mandalore Gaming has a very good introduction to the interface and controls in his review. I used that as a starting point to approach the game. There's also this very good walk-through on steam that tells you what you need to do without any spoilers (sort of). There's no quest log so you either keep track of everything yourself or you can look for stuff in walk-throughs. I mean it's already there in your data reader anyway.
The story was great but the ending felt very anticlimactic since the end boss fight wasn't that much of a fight. Also I thought this game would be scary since System Shock 2 is but that's not the case at all.
10/10!
Why do you complain about everything? If Witcher 3's world was shrunken down, it would have been more enjoyable to me.
Why can't you fuck off?Why do you complain about everything?
