General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Arcanum ( will it ever get old ? I don't think so... ). Oh and a little bit of New Super Mario Bros.

Juiced 2 (PS2) and NFS Carbon (PC)...
Juiced 2 borrowed from a friend, it´s not so good
that I awaited, but not bad.

NFS Carbon: Just love it! :D

You like Carbon? thought it was one of the worst racing games ever. Yeah, they had some interesting concepts (Bodysculpt, Canyon Races) but it just didn't play out to be as good as it could have been. :( Juiced 2, also a disappointing sequel. I liked how they had the first one set up, just more of a variety of cars, change up the locale, and improve the graphics - but instead, they clung to HIN and leeched off it way too much.

On to other news, HL2: TOB is awesome. I thoroughly enjoy Portal and TF2, as they're fresh and different from other things I've played recently.

Played some of the Witcher this weekend. Seems pretty solid, but I'll know more when I can put a couple hours into it next week. I didn't realise it was set after the last book, so the "Geralt is alive! Also he lost his memory" plotline feels kind of weak.

Nah, there are a lot worser racing games that I´ve played. ;)
Carbon is at the moment my favourite, couse I like the handling,
the canyon drift races, also normal drift, it´s much better than in UG or UG2.
I´ve played Underground, UG2, Most Wanted 10 thousend times,
Carbon is the next one (I´ve buyed it two weeks ago)
I love to "pimp" cars (also my own), and the tuning is very nice in thouse games.

I'm curious about Pro Street!

Just completed Softporn Adventure and Larry 1 and now playing Larry 2.
Do you mean the old Leisure Suit Larry (Land of the Lounge Lizards, Love for Sail) or the new ones with his nephew?

At the moment I'm in an oldies mood so I'm going for Jagged Alliance 2.

Replaying Mask of the Betrayer again. I can't remember the last time (if ever) I've replayed a game this many times in such a short time spam. Really enjoying it.

Will probably give the Witcher a try sooner or later. Might hold it off though since I'm gonna beta test the Planescape Purgatorio module for NWN2, and I think the beta will be released soon.

I've also been wanting to replay Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, though I'll wait for the next Unofficial patch to get released before doing that.

Every new NFS game is a copy of an old one with 10% extra features to give people reason to buy it. Underground was a great concept, Underground 2 expanded it further, but with the price of inflicting heavy brain damage, whereas I never even tried to bother with anything released after those two games.
Right now, I've discovered Test Drive Unlimited which is way, way better than any recent NFS.

Also, the little masochist inside of me has decided I should give Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader a go, and I was instantly reminded why I hate real-time combat.

You got right, it´s of course a copy with new features,
but the most series of other games are not really better.
It doesn´t matter if it´s Age Of Empires, C&C, GTA, ...
It´s everytime the same, the difference is small.
But it makes still fun if you like this genre.

To Test Drive Unlimited: I`ve played it 3-4 weeks ago,
with a streering wheel and cockpit view by a friend... it was really awesome!

Damn... I need more money! :?

I'm playing the... old ones. The only ones I know of.
Good answer :D ! I loved those games. Too bad they didn't make anything worthwhile after 'Love for Sail'. At least one can have replaying the old ones.

I really don't know what new games you meant. I wasn't trying to play cool. :P

Either way, I assume they're not made by Al Lowe, so they might as well don't exist.

Edit: OK, so I did a search (hey, boredom begets monsters!) and you meant the Magna Cum Laude game. Yeah, I'll pass on that one.

keep us posted.

i played it for like 10 minutes at GC Leipzig before it was released, but didnt really get into it.

the part i was playing was pretty shallow.

Playing World in Conflict now. Nice details and it doesn't run too shabby in my Q6600 with 7800 GTX. I'm going to play AoE 3 Asian Dynasties and Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts next.

Since no-one answered my question whether the AoE 3 expansion pack 'The War Chiefs' was worth buying, I went ahead and purchased it anyway.

Thank gawd it rocks. Now I can butcher them frikkin' Dutchies with a handful of Sioux Axe Riders and Tashunke Prowlers. Heheh.
