Hello, old friend

Hope he will have a custom armor too instead of these generic pieces.

Actually, this armor is partly based on the one in Fallout 2.

Thanks, Cap!

I'm talking about the lower part.

Actually, that was Francis, not Marcus.

Late again. You're getting old.

He looks ok, actually. His face needs a bit more texture in my opinion but they got the facial structure and armor pretty much spot-on I think.

The texture does look way too smooth. Then again, the image's name on BethBlog was FalloutNVBeta 2010-08-10 10-34-44-28, so perhaps they're still going to roughen it up a bit.

Well we don't exactly know about Marcus' lower armor. He only had a talking head and the generic Super Mutant sprite in Fallout 2.

Also as good as a lot of the voice casting is, there is one question seemingly left unanswered.

Who thought it was a good idea to cast Matthew Perry to voice anything?

Although they captured the better details at least good enough to make out that it's Marcus, I'll never be happy with the shitty textures in this engine.

If I have to do it myself, I will bring back the era of the detailed talking heads and the isometric game engines! Go 2d! :wiggle:

Join the revolution today! :revolution:

What a coinsidence that you compare both Fallout 2 and Fallout Vegas that way as it somewhat is quite interesting from some point in my eyes.

Any irony aside I find it somewhat interesting that Fallout 1 and 2 managed with rendered images such details more then 15 years ago while things with "new engines" look much worse compared to that today ~ no one can seriously tell me Fallout 3s faces look better then any of the Fallout 1 or 2 renders. One can only imagine what kind of preredenred scenes they could achieve today with current technologies and such. Well somehow shows the different principles behind past and todays games.

That's not too shabby, wish there'd been some more detail to the texture though, he looks a bit too smooth.

Jacobstown? Was'nt the BoS Knight that he fought with named Jacob?
Maybe a hdtv will help....some people are never happy

For once I'd like to see Marcus with those damn googles ON. He always seems to have them on his forehead.

Wonder if the line about tightening the vises on his shoulders will be back.

Congrats Obsidian, very good job with Marcus! Another good note...there are already more voice actors than FO3!! :D

Well..not so much ,the FO1 & FO2 were CG ,so not a fair comparison .

I like the voice cast so far, but Matthew Perry is just...really really odd and random.

When Matthew Perry heard about Fallout: New Vegas, he probably begged to be in it. Matthew Perry fucking loves Fallout 3.

More wisdom in the eyes, less Shrek, please.

It's funny how the resolution of the textures drops suddenly below the shoulders. I hope they do custom make the rest of the body. If super mutants NPCs can't wear armor, they should at least try not look as generic.

But i do dig this fanservice.
