Here's what's really powering Fallout 3's metro train

but after 15 years, you have in most cases much more simple worlds. Game world size and graphics have catapulted, but the functionality has declined to the 80

Of all things that dissapointed me the most, soon after starting to try out Skyrim - my character no longer casually looks around himself, at other NPCs. That was a deliberate feature in Oblivion, and Morrowind as well iirc. I always liked it. It made the environment seem natural and social, someone walks past you, you look at them. In 3rd person view, if certain characters talk to you in Oblivion, your character might even smile at them!

In Skyrim - absolutely static! Completely and utterly unaffected by the world around, it was just dissapointing, because it's so obvious that it has been done as a decision: "Let's remove that feature where NPCs will give each others glances if they are nearby"

Well, Fallout was dumbed down Oblivion as well.

Oh, yes, absolutely, I'm just saying - it was one of the first things that bothered me - probably the first thing bothering me after that travesty of a "tutorial" (half of which comprise of you doing nothing. Seriously, I actually sat up, grabbed the mouse and keyboard when the guard said something like "You! Come here, state your name" or something - and then I *still* am not able to play! Holy shit, we can't even be trusted to be able to walk 2 metres? What are they afraid of, player rebellion!? What stops me from rebelling through the rest of the tutorial? I actually DID, I strolled casually through dragon-flame collecting loot from dead legionaires :D)

Cmon guys. Don't derail this thread anymore. Lets talk about the impressive accomplishment of rigging up NPC's to work as vehicles since the game engine is so abominable. Bethesda are truly masters at pulling shit out of asses. Maybe they can help me with my constipation problems.

I am also constipated. Today has been truly annoying in that regard...

Anyway, someone should make a mod where you can run around with that train glove-hat

(On top of that, my nose has been stuffy all day, all in all, I'm sealed up like a corked bottle, it's claustrophobic!)

I don't think that's mastery of anything. I think that's common sense.

(Mastery, is devising a 3rd party script extender that enables decapitation in a game that didn't support it. 8-) )
