How Success Killed Duke Nukem

That's not a port of any of the playstation games. It was originally released for the PC like seven years ago or something. It's quite OK, by the way.

As for DNF, it's not officially canceled. To my knowledge, Scott Miller hinted that they'll get a third party to finish it off. I wouldn't hold my breath.
 
I knew DNF wouldn't be released by them, the jokes that they heard well, the joke is on them, as they never finished the game, the problem is, they wanted the game to be on the best engine, first off, it was quake 2, then unreal (original) as it could handle outdoor areas better, then they went onto the HL engine? after that not sure, but every time they did, they had to start from scratch, the game wasn't anywhere near finished when they jumped to the next engine, so who were they trying to kid, when the game would never be released? because, there are far too many FPS out there, most have a pretty average story, graphics don't really matter if the game and gameplay overall is good, but those that have the best egnine, may have a shit story, but I think this reach for the stars was very bad, and they just fell to earth with a major bump,

but anyone who has the original copy of Duke nukem, there ius a high ress package been worked on

you need the level files either for the atomic edition, or the 1.3 edition, (without the expansion) then the mod will do the rest, even possible to do MP with it,

but anyway, I have my doubts that DNF will ever be released, probably chosen a new engine, and maybe another 12 plus years, or never, Im long past waiting for this mythical game

Oh yes, pardon my mistake. IIRC there was a sidescroller Duke Nukem on Playstation as well.

That took me back. I should replay Duke Nukem sometime. Nostalgia and all.
 
I'm seriously out of date in the FPS scene, but are there any modern FPS that let you take a piss in a bathroom?

ended up being such a technical masturbation it was worthless when you hit #3 tho

Conker's Bad Fur day is older and it allowed doing that in some parts as well. :)
 
Now it seems it's solid. After 3d realms demise, Gearbox Software took over and they are finishing the game under the banner of 2K Games.

I don't know what the result will be. Not even sure what I want - a cheesy 80's madness that Duke Nukem 3D was or a 'worthy sequel' type modern shooter?

I wish good ol' Duke all the best. Hope they don't rape the legend.
