So first you go out and kill some dove:

Then, you have to remove the head, feathers, guts, and wings:

Next, you bake the meat in whatever sauce or seesoning you want. Then remove the meat from the bone:

Add in veggies, cream of celery (or cream of chicken/mushroom) soup. You can make a crust out of Bisquick and milk or lard and flour. I used the former. Bake in oven at 300 for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Dinner is served....

Does it tastes like chicken?

Better than chicken. It's actually more like the dark meat of turkey. really moist and delicious. Also you have the satisfaction that your eating animals that you shot out of midair.... kind of awesome... hehe

LOL, after 6-7 yrs in China, the only thing I really declined was the wedding egg.

And no, don't ask.

Edit: no, it's not the century old/preserved eggs.

This would be an awesome string-thread.

Prez killing random animals and showing you how to cook and eat them.

That reminds me of an interesting pt. Food is a interesting test of man/woman. What a person would or would not eat, or even try says a lot about a person, his/her prejudices and etc.

If they are the ordinary urban pests, all i can say is yuk.

Rats with wings.

[spoiler:67540b7ba9]If they are some of the wild ones that live in the forests, then the disgust factor is nulled and i admit they are delicious.[/spoiler:67540b7ba9]

Sweet birds? awww...

Where do you hunt them? You cant catch them in the city due to diseases, and even in the country is a gamble.

I had a mate who fried/burned sparrows directly in the oven flame, they got to be extra cripsy! ^^

Looks awesome! Not the final dish - that looks like PsychoRice (the image has expired, but oldies will remember the Horror) - but actually killing your own food's gotto be a cool experience. (I've only killed mushrooms - not very macho.) I would be worried about diseases, tho', but I guess you only live once :).
