I find it interesting that someone would choose not to believe that some jews were killed in gas chambers, or certain methods were outright fabrications or lies. This is why the conspiracy theory joke was brought up. It sounds like something you would read on Prisonplanet or ATS. When you start denying such things without proof it leads some to believe the topic is a farce. Why would a person say this in such a vitriolic manner? Why is antisemitism brought up in the thread in the first place? Sure, the history books have fucked up a bit in some regard, but we have plenty of documented evidence, first hand accounts, on the ground troops reporting the atrocities. Was the Holocaust during WW2 the worst in history? No. But that doesn't really matter does it?
I have never heard of those websites, and do not care enough to find out what they are. I denied the homicidal gas chambers because I did thorough research and critical thinking. With all the evidence I have gathered on the internet, I came to the conclusion that not a single Jew was gassed under Hitler's reign. I could not care less if some believe it as a farce. This is the internet, I do not need to give proof because sites like Google, exist for a reason. Why people chose to ask questions and instead of researching (which will answer their questions quicker) is beyond me. Saying the German concentration camps' gas chambers were not used to kill humans is a bold statement, but it is not some buffoonish attempt to make money off of others, not it is intended to be a historical fabrication. People who make this statement has done enough research to make it. Anti-semitism is brought up here because of the "Neo-nazi" and "Holocaust denial" nonsense (which should have never been mentioned in the first place). The history books have actually
screwed up many times, but that is not the point. We have people who witness WW2 through their own eyes, and have many documental evidence, but what if what they say is untrue and the evidence are fabricated to further demonize a certain group of people or a nation? Rather or not it matters solely depends on the individual.
When someone says "people there are too stupid to realize the extermination gas chambers in WW2 were non-existent" I think to myself, "Why does this person believe this, what is their agenda, political beliefs, etc, and why the fuck did they say it out of the blue?"
Now you have realized how I fell when people state the opposite, but ridicule others who believe otherwise. I was out of line when I made this outburst, I admit that, but derailling this whole thread to the point that the original purpose of it is buried underneath another topic is also inexcusable. I considered myself indirectly responsible because the gassings was the only pillar of the Holocaust that I denied. Again, proof of this denial is easy to find on the internet, so I never needed to show anyone evidence.
In this case it looks like someone is egotistical enough in their own point of view to look down on others since they believe certain things happened. I might even venture to say they have beliefs that stray from the norm, which can be either great or not so great, depending on your perspective. This person speaks in such a manner that invites a negative response leading me to believe it is intentional, or the person is too dense to realize how their actions alter the flow of conversations such as this.
I look down on people who choose to naive and refuse to research, not because they believe in certain events happened during the course of human history. That outburst was just that,
an outburst. Not because people believe in the homicidal, but because of my own personal experiences and the frustration I have been dealing with for the past 7 or 8 months now. I knew what to expected when I worded my posts in such a manner, so I am not "dense" enough that I do not understand how the flow of a conversation works.
The evidence is provided by Jews that witnessed such events, lived in the fucking camps, and watched their family members murdered. Not some jackass on the internet who has done lots of research on Youtube. Who is more credible?
Eyewitnesses are not reliable, and the "gas chambers are a myth" video obviously proves this. Just because we have people that
actually been to the "fucking" camps, does not mean we should just blindly believe everything they are telling us like gullible fools. That is what a "jackass" does, not someone who is able to use YouTube as a source for historical information and wants to investigate the truth about the Holocaust (there is no denial or doubt in this sentence). These people are being paid to testify what happened in the camps, and what they say in their testimonies might not be true. I am not convinced they are lying, but I am inquisitive in what they say.
When approached with a topic, denying millions have died, both Jewish and Native American (Why the denial of the genocide of the Indian tribes? Why was this also brought up?), one would expect a negative response I would think.
The same reason why anti-semitism was brought up. People keep questioning rather or not I am denying the Holocaust and I keep broadcasting that I am not denying it.
What are we arguing? That the numbers are off a couple million? How can we ever really know by such criteria, if the evidence provided is not sufficient? The answer is we can't, but neither can you. That doesn't make your point of view superior. It is just as flawed.
I am not arguing my point of view is superior to others, and is a baseless assumption to make. Any rational person should be happy the death toll of Auschwitz was revised to 1.5 million (or even less) because we now acknowledge 6 million Jews did not die. It might not change the fact many Jews were slaughtered, but then again, it does not change the fact over 50 million people died in of the most bloodiest war in human history.
Propaganda has done it's job, or is it disinformation? All of this drivel is contained in a thread titled "Idiocy at its finest", which automatically leads me to believe the poster has intentions of grinding gears so to speak. What is even more hilarious is mentioning Youtube posters are just not getting it. When did you reach that conclusion? How old are you to not realize that Youtube comments might not be the best place for rational discourse?
So my intention was to piss people off, despite the fact I made it clear why I made this thread in the first place? Not only does this statement is completely flawed and senseless, it also seems ironic because it feels as though I am the one that his gears truly grinded. How old are you to not realize that I just showed you people that YouTube comment sections are obviously not the best place for rational discourse in my OP? If me depicting people in the YouTube comment sections being complete imbeciles because they think the whole "emasulation of Black men" conspiracy theory to be a reality is not enough, then I do not know what is.
This thread leaves a sour taste in my mouth and I automatically dislike anything having to do with:
The worst part of it all is I wasted so much time even responding to this.
Well, I dislike anything that is involved with misanthropy. And you wasting your own time responding to my post is your own fault, but I am sure you know this already. Also, my avatar will not change unless I found an interesting picture or drawing.
I have to admit, I'm asking myself whether this guy is trolling us or not.
Do you even know what trolling means? How the hell can I be a troll when I am able to type in formal English, with good grammar, spelling, and punctuation?
Holocaust denial is dumb but I guess that makes it fitting for this thread considering the title.
No one is denying the Holocaust, and it is not "dumb". I might as well imply that believing it is also "dumb". People on both sides have made valid points, rather it be belief or denial.
