Impressions thread for positive impressions

Who's idea was it to combine the positive impressions thread with the negative impressions thread?

You can blame the idiot troll who started this thread bitching at how everyone on this site should suck Beth's phallus

There are too many poor linear shooters in the world.
and not many shooting games(TPS or FPS) are not for single player.
so fo3 is good choice for whom have played enough linear shooter to bore with them. at least there are field that you can roam freely, inventory, level, attribute and other things makes fo3 better than linear shooters.

VATS it self is good try though VATS of fo3 is totally broken.
it can be good system if it well balanced and designed.

so, in short better than sucking linear shooter and VATS is good try.

now it's time for negative aspect~!

I played Fallout 1 and 2 for over a decade, still replay both to this day.

And I LIKED and ENJOYED Fallout 3. Great game, I wasn't disappointed.

Just making this post to prove it isn't impossible for a Fallout "veteran" to hate F3.

Honestly, when all is said and done, it's a freaking game Razz

So I've done a complete 180 on this stance since New Vegas came out, and since I've had way more time to reflect. I basically was deluding myself because I had been so excited for F3 for years.

It's a fine game, it has it's flaws, but it's a terrible Fallout game. I can never go back really after New Vegas, which was basically my perfect vision of a Fallout game in every sense.

Funny. Am I the only one here who didn't start with 3 that loves 3?

Possibly, though I started with 3 and liked it, it can't be denied it's flaws are critical, and the old games are extremely superior to it. Heres my Fallout series list though:

Fallout 2 - 10/10 Best game in the series, and inproves the (minor) flaws from the original game.
Fallout - 9/10 Great game too, but I, personally, feels it's a bit more linearthan 2, but MUCH less that 3.
Fallout 3 - 7/10 Good game, not as good as the originals but still good, it's 3rd mainly because I started with it (I confused Fallout 3 with Far Cry 2, I think)
Fallout New Vegas - 7/10 Good game too, it's bugs weith a bit, IDK why but I prefer 3.
Fallout Tactics - 5/10 More or less game, fun, but it's cannonical contradictions put me off a bit.
Fallout BOS - 1/10 Got a point because of Rhombus, still, never played, and don't plan to.

Also, an idea I had, if your intelligence was high enough you could say something to Moira about the repellent stick like "It blows the Mole Rats to pieces, I really think you should remove the (insert a substance here) and the bits of powder, could save their lives at least."

Funny. Am I the only one here who didn't start with 3 that loves 3?

"Love" isn't a word that gets used in conjunction with Fallout 3 often around here, true enough. There are perhaps some among us who would go that far, though, and certainly a good many who very much enjoyed the game. That statements to that effect are often made with caveats or qualifiers doesn't diminish the statements themselves.
