Interplay's business plan

He wasn't. Shock of shocks, he is lying.

So what's he talking about?

And hey, Corith. Was Interplay's debt to you one of the debts Caen magically wished into oblivion?

I suspect since IPLY used Vivendi as a distributor, and WoW is part of Vivendi, he is deluded into thinking he can hook into WoW via this ultra thin Vivendi connection.

He is lying to attrack possible investors. As I have stated many, many times, with his track record, only a fool would loan him money. The fact he is maing such great untruths only seems to vindicate my statements.

I'm still fighting him. He sent over a settlement agreement that excluded the penalties awarded to me by the court, and wanted me to have a life time ban against working for IPLY, even after he left the company. I told him to go get stuffed and sent the whole mess to the franchise tax board for collection.

Since I've yet to see a dime, it just goes to show that you really don't really have to pay your employees.

Hey, Puuk. This is a week of pleasant surprises; first Chris Taylor stops by, and now you.

So how is Tabula Rasa coming along? You aren't in any way involved in this terrible not-work-safe corruption of youth, are you?

PS: Every time you double-post, God kills a kitten and Herve finds an investor for Fallout Online.

Hola! Nope, I had nothing to do with the titty-shot for Playboy. Personally, I think it's dumb - I like my titties real. As for the game, it's coming along great!

How was Herve involved with wow anyway? I've never heard about this. Anyone care to enlighten me?

And, his "REACH 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS DURING THE FIRST YEAR "
is a steaming pile too. That is more than EQ2 and COH combined. He'd be hardpresed to reach those numbers, even with international markets. Not Even Matrix Online and D&D online can reach that goal, and those are well known IPs. While Fallout, as much I love the game, is a very niche market.

The best, the very best, FO:OL could hope for is 100,000.

wow.. after seeing his picture for the first time I want to punch him in the nose even more.

As for EQ2, COH, Matrix:online, and D&D online not reaching 1million users.. The reason for this is simple. There all horribly done mmo's and should be eliminated from the face of the earth. I don't need to explain myself.. b/c if you have played these mmo's you would understand completely. They are however all part of hugely successful franchises.. but once again the mmo's were made poorly and thus attract only fools who keep playing them.

As stated by The Dutch Ghost, Fallout has a sort of cult following. Not that there isn't a fair amount of people who have bought and played the game.. Its still in my eyes considered a cult classic and isn't recognized and given the credit it should. So for Herve the douche to say that its going to reach 1 Million users in ANY given amount of time is a lie (as you all know). Enless he pulls some seriously innovative stuff out of his extremely large asshole(which he most likely wont b/c hes and idiot..with a large asshole)... he wont reach more than 100,000 users If even that amount.

I second that Blizzard/vinendi should sue the pants off of herve. Although maybe he was somewhere behind the scenes and was never officially given credit for the stuff he supposedly contributed to the creation of WoW?

Also best of luck to you Corith in getting what you deserve...

i'm guessing with BethSoft's game it'll exit the 'cult-following' zone and enter 'braindeadfanboy-following' zone. probably why he believes FO:OL would have that much users.

however, i'm guessing a bunch of random monkeys have more chance at making a succesful MMORPG than Herve.

probably that some people still believe in it or support it. (luckily a minority (moronity?), but that's all Herve needs)

If you want entertaining believers in Herve, head over to Raging Bull

wow.. I feel bad for those stock holders.

I don't, not one bit. Those morons still hold out the steadfast belief that Herve will not let them down, that he will, eventually, turn the company around and pump up the stock price.

And the old names that got the stocks a few years ago have been loosing a lot, I wonder what drives you guys... you have our site to know all the details of the debacle, you can talk to the French former Titus stockholders and French media people, you can talk to the former employees and business partners, from Vivendi to Warner, you've watched the Ballerium affair and know that "Interplay" is one guy in a desk with a couple of lawyers and a webmaster doing the odd job here and there, and still you go on...

I'm not saying this with the least hostility or spite, I'm really confused on why do you guys hold on...

rbusslinger we had people from middle management talking to us months before the shutting down of Interplay saying that the beast was out of control, we gave plenty of hints then, and these days the situation is even worse, so what drives you guys? I honestly don't get it.

Speculation drives me. That and the relentless loyalty of the Fallout fan (I have never played it). I saw it as a spec play and it has returned more than I can have imagined. And I still hold some IPLY lottery tickets because I don't think it is over yet.

I wouldn't feel too bad for the stock holders. Some of them bought the stock at .01 and have made a killing. Now it is trading at .17. Not a bad return.
So that's why there's messages on the board of people not being able to find buyers.
Heh.

Also, you're a bloody moron if you think Fallout fans are actually loyal to the pieces of shit Interplay churned out so far. FO:BOS bombed like hell.

Hello people,

Apparently one Dutch gaming site already believes that FOOL is in production, that it should be released in 2010, and that it has a budget of $75 million.

This isn't true is it?

Ehm, that depends on how you look at it.

It's 'in production' since Herve is looking for investors. However, this doesn't mean there's any work actually being done on it.

It also has a *planned* budget of $75 million. That's what Herve aims to spend on it and what he wants to rake in from investors. Of course, again, this doesn't mean they actually have that kind of money (because they don't).

Also, Corith, now that I think of it, isn't there the possibility send an
official debt collector or the like at Interplay with a court order?

EDIT: Also, which gaming site was that?

Done in Q3 2010 and the budget of 75 million are both in this filing, so that gaming site has no info that we don't have.

It is technically in imaginative-proto-pre-production, I guess.
