I understand your concern, but this has become my habit over the years at forums. I find green colour quite pleasing to look at :)

Hello people of Earth! I'm captain Buck Rogers and after having been subjected to cryogenic stasis for almost 500 years I feel as if I had just woken up from a ceaseless night&day drinking of cheap third grade industrial liquor... (which is not that far from the truth, actually)

Back to reality (or is it "Buck to reality"): I'm 22 years old, about to graduate in computer science and still live with my mom and brother. Other than that I have no concept of self-identity nor do I know what the fuck I wanna do with my life.
How about someone now gives me a heartwarming hug of sympathy and wipes off the tears running down my cheeks?

I guess we all felt an unquenchable urge to expand our horizons (and territory as a direct corollary) and this place seemed like a nice place to start considering that we’re hardly an ethnic minority here. There are other Slavs here as well, from what I could discern. Panslavia virtualis…Wow. You’re a Croat too, right? I can tell, you know. Where exactly do you live anyway? Not that I'm planning on paying you a visit, or anything...

As for a Croatian Fallout subdomain, we are always willing to make sub-sites like pl.nma-fallout.com. I still think a German subdomain is in order. Ashmo, anyone able to translate well that wants the job? Ratty, for Croat?

As for the text color, Dream is dead, that is perfectly fine. It is the use of multiple colors that becomes irritating. :)
 
I speak fluent German (what with being a German born in Germany and all that). I could give it a try if you need an irregular news translator.


I think an update (if I've ever introduced myself in the first place) would be in place, so I'm going to take a second and re-introduce myself:

I'm a 20 years old Punk Goth / Geek (which means I listen to noisy music and don't have a life) and currently studying Information Computing (which is a fancy way to say "Computer Science") in my first year with Philosophy and English Philology as minors.

I live with my father and grandma in a rather large flat in Cologne, Germany, and make money with occassional computer-related oddjobs.

When I'm not busy boring myself (or other people) to death or working on my "secret" game project which I've been working on for years now and will probably not finish before the U.S. becomes a democracy, I hit people with swords or stab them with my pole (which is NOT an euphemism for sex, sadly -- which is to say I have practically never had much of a sex life) which is to say that I'm a medieval reenactor of British tradition (that means I care less about authenticity and more about strategical warfare).

Oh, and I'm a total fanatic when it comes to web standards, which is why I have this title.

I'm also an Orderite -- for one reason or another.

As for Fallout... I'm a misanthrope -- or at least I've been called that for having a very pessimistic world view -- although I do like to help people (only those I sympathise with, tho) and still have some political idealism buried deep inside of me.
I guess I like the post-nuclear because it effectively reduces the amount of stupidity in the world by minimizing the amount of living humans. I probably also like it for the explosions leading to it and the peacefulness that is the consequence of all the decrease in the number of things that could cause trouble -- my kind of utopia, I guess.

I also just ditched my TV this week. Yepp, no more TV for me.
No condolences, I made the decision myself. I hope to have more productive energy to spend on other things that way and it also keeps my IQ from dropping any further -- or at least it slows the fall down to a rate I can live with.

I guess that's it. I can't believe how many sentences I just started with "I". I guess my English teacher would've killed me for that.

I usually check and post in the forums when I am at work and am not actually working. I had F/O 2 loaded onto my computer here for awhile but noticed it was cutting into my work time(damn I hate it when that happens). Anyways, hey, hiya, wassup and all that crap. Good to be here.

I used to be a fallout addicted but now I'm clean. It's been 6 months since I stopped playing Fallout 2.

It's difficult but there is hope. You must live one day at a time.

There is no medical cure for this addiction. At the same time all available medical testimony indicates that Falloutism is a progressive illness, that it cannot be cured in the ordinary sense of the term, but that it can be arrested through total abstinence from Fallout 1 or Fallout 2.


1. A fallouter must admit to being powerless in the face of Francis.... err.... Frank. He needs help from the Enclave soldiers or from the turrets.

2. A fallouter should come to believe that a Power greater than himself could restore he to sanity. Bethesda !!!!

3. A fallouter should make a decision to turn his will and his life over to the care of the Overseer as we understood him.

4. A fallouter should made a searching and fearless moral inventory of himself. Including what is inside your CLASSIC, GENUINE Chrysalis Motors Highwayman's trunk.

5. A fallouter should admit to the overseer, to himself and to other forum mates the exact nature of his wrongs. Even if he reloaded.

6. A fallouter must be entirely ready to have the hubologists remove all these defects of character.

7. A fallouter should make a list of all persons he had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all, including the Master.

8. A fallouter should made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. Forget about the Master. Helping him is a bad idea.

9. A fallouter must keep his personal inventory updated and when he is wrong he should promptly admit it.

Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, The Fallouter should try to carry this message to every fallouter and to practice these principles in all his affairs until Fallout 3.
