Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Welcome, Lasix-9.

Isn't there a medicine called Lasix or Lasex? I think my aunt used it once. For her blood pressure or something.

Yes there is, it's called Lasix (furosemide) and is used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and edema.

Greets all. Been lurking unreg'd on and off for a long time. A chance encounter on another forum with one of the folks from NMA eventually spurred me to register and start actually talking.

I suppose I should say hi, rude not to after nearly 40 posts...

old school FO fan, love iso style games.

28 going on 70, I have opinions and this y'ar be a good n'uff forum for me to have a rant on.

I guess I shall follow in footsteps of Joe.

Hello all. Avid fallout fan here. Been playing them since I was a youngling. Don't really much like forums, but this one has its fair share of intellectuals comaparitively to others. So here I am, forced out of lurking, and joining the seething masses of mutant hating FEV spurning hard asses. Don't worry though. I find myself adamantly defending my opinions as much if not more than most here. I think I shall fit in swell-like.

Hello to all of you. I've been reading this forum for some time now, used to check it every now and then and finally decided to man up and register! I was late to the Fallout party, having only played both of the games in 2003. But I've enjoyed them immensely and I still compare the experience to RPGs I play today.

Now I get to be labelled as "one of those NMA people" :P

Wow, I completely managed to forget this "hello" thingy. So hi everyone! I got linked to this place from Fallout3nexus... Well what's there more to say, I run my own forum (4 weeks old) and I'm definetely not gonna be a lurker!

Hello all new people, hope to hear some valuable input from you on here soon.

Also, Suden, I love your avi. <3 lol

Hi, I used to post here a few years ago, and subsequently forgot my user name, or my password, because one of the user names in the list seems like it could be my old one. The forgotten password field was also no help because it didn't work with any emails I could remember. So anyway, here's a new account.

Just a quick hello.

I love the original Fallouts. I still remember the day when I began playing the first part, and how I struggled with those rats in the cave because I made a bad character. Oh, the good ol' days.

I skulked and lurked around here irregularly since then but never decided to make a profile. Figured it's about time now.

Figured I'd pop in and say hello.

I've been playing Fallout since the original demo and used to stop in and see NMA now and again way back when.

Finally decided to join up.

*waves*

Oh, hello. I've completely missed this thread until now. Well, I'm Leon.

I've checked in on NMA on and off since around the time you guys got started, and with then-impending arrival of Fallout 3 decided to join up. Long time Fallout fan, ever since I first played Fallout 2 in '98 on my old Pentium II desktop.

I do odd jobs, AKA doing nothing and getting paid for it. Somehow I always coast through life with minimal effort. For instance, in high school I skipped classes all the time and yet not only never got punished for it but had high enough marks to be exempt from taking the SAT, had college credits due to being in "advanced placement" classes, and had a number of scholarships for no particular reason. Not gloating - I just wonder how the hell I could fuck off so much and still be considered an "excellent student."

I should be moving to another state this month, and eventually I'd like to become a physical therapist. But, nobody wants to hear my life story, I'm sure. :)

Heyo heyo, everyone.

EDIT: I forgot to introduce myself properly!

I have ever been a fan of the Wasteland. Yes, that's right; Wasteland. When I heard of Fallout, I knew I needed to get that game, because quite frankly, Wasteland was just too awesome to pass it up. I've played Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 so many times, it's not even funny.

Fallout 3 is coming in my mail. I expect that I will overall enjoy it, but will also want to see it modded. Possibly modded VERY heavily.

Thought I'd come into NMA from the Fallout 3 forum and get "the other side" of things. I'm also intrigued at the idea of modding, might dabble in such a thing -- and knowing what people here might want would be nice. Plus, this seems like a cool group overall.

I'm currently writing a piece of post apocalyptic fan fiction for National Novel Writing Month, although it's going slowly (about 5000 words so far), but I'm getting slowly inspired. It's not quite like Fallout, but it does involve nuclear warfare; I might end up writing some fan fiction, although I generally avoid it. Mainly because I'm always afraid of getting something wrong, and always want to inject my own ideas into things.

Anyways, I hope I don't offend anyone here. I heard that just liking Fallout 3 was a crime here, but somehow I'm skeptical of such a claim; I've seen too many people coming in and saying "you guys suck, learn to grow a life and like the gamelol" for me to take such a thing seriously.

Hope to enjoy my time here! See you in the wasteland. Keep your gun loaded and your dog close. (:=o

Hi, I missed this thread...

Anyways, I'm Aus. I've heard about FO since middle school but didn't get to try them out until two years ago. Both great games, much better than Icewind Dale, but imo not as good as BG or TOEE. I'm a sucker for TB games and fantasy settings.

I'm a second-year international college student in the US, originally from Ukraine. I like foreign (esp. Asian) languages and politics, I'm into anime and /\/\etal (separately) - mostly black, death, folk, epic. I play the violin. I love PCs and hate consoles. I detest MMOs. Favourite games: DMC3, Witcher, TOEE, BG2, PS:T, Unreal Tournament, FFIX, FFV, Tsukihime, Heroes of Might and Magic III and V, Disciples II and (hopefully) III.

I also recently found out that NMA has a second best modding community I've seen. Good job guys!

Oh yeah, welcome me and stuff! =)) "Or better yet, give me a sandwich, I'm pretty hungry".

Hmm, maybe i should present myself too :).

I live in Moldova, eastern Europe, speak both moldavian and russian languages (and english obviously). I have graduated university last year and now i have a wife and a 3 months old daughter. Both of them keep me away from PC games, 1 intentionally, the other not :). I hate consoles too, only play pc games, rpg is my favourite genre, but i play some strategies and fps from time to time.

Only MMO i played and still play is EvE-Online, i like it coz it's heavily pvp oriented. Fallout is the best game ever imho, I played Fallout 2 before the first 1, but i like both the same way. I actually played fallout accidentally, i bought the game as a gift for my friend, since i didn't even have a pc back then and after trying it at his place i used to harass the man, came to him and played the game for days .
