Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hi.

I'm not new; I've been in the Fallout community for years actually. I just mostly lurk more than I post.

I don't think I've posted here, but I've finally found a reason;

I am posting here to say that the LP of Sanitarium written by Brother None that he links to in his signature is the best piece of videogame related literature that I have ever read. If you do not read it, from front to back, you are a heretic and a soulless, hopeless failure of a human being. I suggest you do it. Now.

Thank you for your time.

Hey, just popping in to introduce myself.

Posting from the pre-apocalyptic wasteland known as Australia.

Been a Fallout fan since '98, and a lurker here for ages. Hoping that Obsidian can give Fallout: New Vegas some of the treatment that it deserves.

so, did you buy a V8 Interceptor yet and did you get a sawn off shotgun?

No, but I bought a leather jacket from an op shop (thrift store?) and I cut one of the sleeves off. Used to have a Blue Heeler, but she died.
I've also been collecting bottle caps for a couple of years now. It's more out of habit than anything else though.

I was looking forward to taking a big V8 past Alice Springs and up to Darwin, but they're now enforcing a speed limit up that way, which makes the whole trip that much less interesting.

Interestingly, road fatalities in the Northern Territory have tripled since the speed limit was introduced. No speed limit makes people drive as fast as they feel is safe, setting a high speed limit makes people try to stay at that speed limit even if their car can't safely handle it, they're fatigued, drunk, etc.

Hi, I'm new here. I have the unique and not so popular position of hating the original Fallouts' isometric view and turn based combat. I still love the immersion and all the choices and consequences of the old games, but I'm younger so I have a hard time beating the learning curve.

My perfect Fallout game would be:

NEW FUCKING STORY PLEASE.
3D first person or 3rd person view.
Real time combat.
Everything else from the original games.

Something tells me you'll fit right in.

'Ello.

I'm posting from the area of the US that's supposed to be "one big radioactive dustbowl". Oklahoma to be exact. Been here most of my life and can't wait to get out and see the rest of the world (and I don't mean other states or just Canada and Mexico!)!

Sadly, Fallout 3 was my introduction to the Fallout universe. Or rather, it led me to the TRUE Fallout universe, because after playing 3, I curiously went out and got the trilogy pack (1 & 2 + Tactics).

After playing the originals (4 times each so far), I don't think anywhere near so highly of 3 any more. ...Love 'em!

Thank you to Ausir, killap, and all others who've helped provide such awesomeness. :)

Hey, I've been lurking around this site for sometime since Fallout 3 was still in the works but never made an account until now, for whatever reason there was a problem with my choice of email address.

Anyway, I've been a fan of the original Fallout games for nearly a decade and began to be excited about New Vegas when I found out some of the old team was in on the project. My hopes for the near future is that Obsidian can make a more dynamic non-linear game then Bethesda. Not saying Fallout 3 was a bad game just not Fallout.

Hi, I am registered since 05 but forgot my pw for the old account. Not that bad since that nickname was embarassing. (quite like this one actually lol)

Never really grew into the site, but I try to change that. Playing Fallout for more than 10 years now and still annoying my friends with it. 8-)

I'm a FalloutNow regular, and I was banned on one German Fallout 3 board after 8 h 41 min 33 sec

well i guess this is a bit late but... yet late introduction is better than none at all :)

Hellou ;) I am russian/polish/english native speaker (lol how is that possible) 26 y/o guy with a big willy (lol too much radiation had at least one positive infuelnce on me).
IT guy/lorry driver by trade.
Back in the day i did a bit of Unreal tournament modding. Specialised in textures and graphic mostly.
Thinking of putting my skills for use.

Anyway i will see you around

Same here. Started to post stuff before using this introduction-thread.

i am 35, swiss (dont ask me about banks or minarets pls.) and was lurking around here for about 5 years, getting information and mods for which i'd like to thank NMA at this point.

Got started on the series with Fallout 2, later bought FO1. Love them and still play them from time to time. Got FO:T, thought it ok (less as a Fallout Game but more because i liked turn based tactical games). And then bought... well, i dont really like to talk about it.

Anyway Hi all

Hello, I already posted elsewhere, but maybe a formal introduction would be appreciated. I'm recently registered here, but I've been reading the site for some time now.
I'm a Fallout fan since the first game, the very best in my opinion, and gave another go at FO3 recently. I've got to admit it's still as frustrating as he first time I tried, but I now know better how to handle mods and am working to set up my perfect build mod. It's fun nonetheless. Also a long time PnP RPG enthusiast, MERPG, Dark Ages and the one victim of my recent nostalgic revival : Mutant Chronicles ! :P
26 years old, graphic designer and videographer. I used to mod some games, mostly graphic stuff for CIV4, EU3 and Rome TotaWar (Ran No Jidai, a Shôgun mod for those curious) and for the past year I've been playing games on my work Mac , even FO3...

Se you around.
