Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Long time lurker here. My first rpg was Wasteland for C64, then a lot of D&D on Amiga and then it came Fallout for PC.
I had some expectations after the good (but not great) FNV, but here I am disgusted as many others of the carnage that Bethesda is doing of our favorite serie.

Hi y'all. My name is Olle, I've been a Fallout fan since I was 11 years old (got it at a local library which didn't bother to check the age requirements for the game ), and been into RPG's ever since. I don't know why I didn't sign up here earlier, since I've been browsing this site for aaaaaaages now, but yeah, here I am.

That is one radical library! :V

I like libraries, they are often very underrated by the "modern cool youth", who think of them as boring heaps of boring books.
They typically have a real quality control, and the local library here - in a modest lil frozen town - it has an amazing selection of comic books.
Many of my favorite titles, I discovered there, as a kid. In fact, they have two comic book sections, one for children, and one for adults. The one for adults is massive, with several stuffed shelves FULL of comics of ALL kinds

I was escorted away from there by a friendly employee once, who thought I was lost, but I defiantly went right back to browse.

Gonna get me a new library subscription next week. Rotterdam has a huge library, and I'm sure I'll find some things I would have otherwise never discovered. There's still a lot of comics and sci-fi writers I have to read. Also, gotta catch up on some Rushdie. I haven't read a decent book in ages so I'm pretty stoked.

I know I already have 37 posts by the time I post this, but I sort of got caught up in Fallout discussion and didn't notice this thread.

In which case, hi! You know the drill - lurked around for some time, decided to start posting, etc, etc.

Enjoying this forum already - diversity in opinion seems to be plentiful.

HI! Born again, Gun Owners of America, dog and cat lover, and FAllout nut. Hopefully, I can post tips here that will help my friends with Fallout 4 Game play.

Ditto, with less posts.

Howdy!

Like many here, I've been reading the forum for a while, and I decided to stop internalizing my pain about Fallout 4 and let it out somewhere. You guys where the unlucky recipients.

My story with Fallout goes back to the first game, I never played Wastelands, and unfortunately I had moved on to consoles (booo) by the time FO3 came out, so I have never enjoyed mods on any of the last games.

Looking forward to some more discussions here.

I've been lurking here for some time now so might as well make an account and participate as much as I can.

Although I'll prolly just lurk some more haha

So, Hello to everyone! I've only recently began to appreciate and love the classic games (tho New Vegas is still my number one favorite, please don't crucify me for that). I hope to stick around and have a good time with the community.

Hi everyone. I'm not much of a lurker, but since Fallout 4 came out, I thought I'd join a place that seems to actually appreciate Fallout.

I first got into Fallout when I played New Vegas. I first tried playing Fallout 3 but I could not get into it for the life of me. I understand why now, of course. I was skeptical about giving New Vegas a try, but I was surprised at how fast I got sucked into it from the beginning.

Anyway, I like the more Obsidian and Black Isle/Interplay (true, imo) Fallout games as opposed to what Bethesda has called Fallout. I've played a little of Fallout 2 but could never really get into it, unfortunately.

Other games I like are Mass Effect, Dragon Age, the old Elder Scrolls games (primarily Morrowind and Oblivion's expansions), Wasteland (I've only played 2), Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, The Secret World, Star Wars: The Old Republic, EVE (though I can hardly stay playing it) among others.

Other than gaming, I like music, expensive clothes and cats.

Hello all. I've been a Fallout fan for a number of years. Back when it was on store shelves, I wasn't into those sorts of games unfortunately, so I only played 1 and 2 after playing 3. Once NV came out, I was pleasantly surprised to see that some of the old developers had continued the actual story, totally falling in love with Chris Avellone's writing.

In all, Fallout 2 is my favorite of the series and then probably New Vegas.

As far as Fallout 4 is concerned, I'm having fun with it, but it's not a proper Fallout game in my mind.

Besides Fallout, I've been playing a top-down shooter called Nuclear Throne on Steam for nearly a year and Mount and Blade Warband for a few months. Beyond that, I still need to finish The Witcher 3.

Outside of gaming, I'm rewatching all the X-Files episodes and waiting for The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot, and Rick and Morty to come back. Also, I write.

Newbie here, currently enduring an insane Fallout addiction.

Quite a new fan, had the entire series in my Library and I only kick-started the games when every single person on my friends list, at the launch date, decided to drop what they're doing and play Fallout 4.

Been lurking for about two months now and just now registered as there's questions that I cannot find answers to. Hopefully I become more active here once I hit 3, New Vegas and especially 4. Love Marcus on the banner~

Hello! I'm Biohazard77, and I am new here. I love Fallout and I think my Favorite is Fallout 2... or one... or new vegas... I am very indecisive as you can see : )

Hello, I'm new here. I've spent a few months lurking, starting really with the announcement of FO4. I knew about these forums before, and certainly visited once or twice, but once I saw FO4 would be stripping away the skill system, using a voiced protagonist and forcing you to use a dialogue wheel, I realized any hopes I had that Bethesda would learn something from the success of New Vegas were in vain. And I was right. My first few hours of Fallout 4 were the dullest hours I ever spent in a Fallout game. This was followed by a brief honeymoon phase, where I tried my best to look on the bright side of things; the shooting felt better, it was still a Fallout game, maybe I'm missing some fun quests I haven't found yet. Now I've completely accepted that this is hardly even an RPG. It's just Fallout the shooter, if it's even Fallout. I can't remember one meaningful choice I have been able to make in this game. I even tried to go around killing numerous characters, only to find out almost all of them were essential. I really hope Obsidian is given another shot, but I don't know if they would even be able to reverse how disgustingly awful Fallout has become.

So I'm here now to reminisce on the good old days, when there were memorable characters, meaningful choices and not every encounter was about killing anything that moves in Fallout.

Hello everybody, it's good to be here.

Hello my name is Cody, I played the first two Fallouts later like others have mentioned but I love both of those games(Fallout 1 a little more though). I'm in the process of becoming a gun nut, good with computer hardware and how to assemble computers(yes I know a nerd haha), and I'm pretty bitter and somewhat cynical.

Y'all should get the fuck out of here while you still can. The people on these boards will trample on your soul (and anything else that is sticking out).

Lurked for many years, started playing FO when it was released many years ago, fell in love with FO2 only game with a car, still play it too, only complaint is the damned Wanamingo and Markus shredding me in battle. Not a fan of FO3 or FO4 because of Emil, FONV is close to my heart like FO2. I also enjoy modding.
