Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

I have yet to play any of the DLCs for it because my PS3 decided to take the long nap the day after I acquired them.
PS3 had issues with Bethesda games in general. I had a friend who couldn't play any DLCs for Fallout 3 or New Vegas because of how the memory worked on PS3. I'd recommend playing them on anything else, preferably PC.

Once my save file reached a certain size (don't remember exactly what.. maybe 8mb, or 10mb?) I couldn't play New Vegas at all anymore, and would have to start a new game, trying to go straight to different places in order to experience more of the story before the inevitable file bloat would crash my game again.
Also, if I were to save and reload the game while in certain infamous zones (such as Red Rock, or Camp McCarran) it would stutter to the point where I couldn't even open the options screen to exit, and would have to revert to any earlier save.

I actually got to a point back in the day where I thought I'd never get to experience the game properly, because I didn't have a PC. Once I got an Xbox One however, and it became backwards compatible, I've not had any such problem with New Vegas since, and have finished the entire game multiple times including all of the DLCs with only the occasional crash.

Playing it on PC is of course much, much more preferable though. I have one now and have been able to try many of the additional content mods, and graphics, interface &c mods and the game is so much more enjoyable.

I have lurked this forum before, but never made a account. The first video game i ever played was fallout 1 (Got it in that 3 pack that Walmart used to sell) in 2008 when i was 10. loved it. Fallout 2 was even better. Tactics was ehh, but ok. never got passed Quincy(?). I mostly played it to hear Ermeys voice.

After these few bad years under the Bethesda reign, I didn't hope to see this forum still well alive and kicking!

That post had so much formatting cancer in it that I was tempted to just mark it off as spam instead of approving it.

You kinda did mark it as spam it appears, I tried to edit for a cancer free edition and updated it but was declined for spam or something.

Nah, it's a forum feature to prevent spam bots. Every post from a user with less than three or so posts that contains hyperlinks has to be approved by a moderator.
