Is NMA Dying?

So as usual, Image board tards ruin everything by acting like chicken shit keyboard warriors and thinking they are cool....

A one-user-Buffy-fanboard is a work of art. Fuck /b/ for ruining it.

Well it was a work of Web art, it's the kind of thing you can't really see outside of the Internet. It would've been much more entertaining for it to continue existing and be observed by whoever was curious enough. But then the image board people whose idea of creativity is to be keyboard warriors shitheads ruined it. Kind of like what happened with Sonichu and Chris Chan, people got into his craziness because of hi crappy but creepy comics that almost felt like the ramblings of a madman, then a bunch of losers started "trolling" him and sabotaging every aspect of his life and he even stopped making the comics everyone was there for in the first place.

Whenever someone does something like that, like having a whole forum to themselves, posting like mad, I feel happiness that this anomaly has been occupied by a person.

The role must be taken - there are so many crazy roles waiting to be taken!

Like, a good friend of mine, his role was, for a while, to sit in a little burned out cabin in the woods, and yell at dog-walkers :D

That P Diddy ultra-fan kindov reminds me of that Björk-dude, that was some creepy shit (just the fact that he felt it absolutely vital to face death with his puffy nipples painted pink totally freaks me out)

I'm afraid someone that far down the rabbit-hole will bite anything that gets near it.

We've had a couple of weeks with 40 degrees Celsius here in Slovakia this year FFS! Only the most insane persons stayed at home with their computers turned on in such hellish heat. Wait for Christmas NMA, I'm sure cold winter would bring your posters back soon.

I usually don't get out (except when i have to work or when i have appointement for work) when the temperature is above 35 degrees Celcius.
So, provided that i don't have to get out, i usually stay at home with air conditioning for a good part of daytime july... with computer most likely turned on. (and considering the kind of work i do, even when working, i am most likely indoors, with air conditioning, and computer turned on)

And i am only living in southern France. For people living in southern spain, northern Africa, or Mexico, it is not unlikely to have the entire family at home or at least enclosed for every daily peak of temperature.

At the opposite, we only have snow once every 5-6 years, so when we have it, i will think about nothing but getting out and enjoying it.

For me it's the opposite. Stay inside during winter and get out during summer cause we have no snow... sadly...

I'm still seeing a lot of activity and new users whenever I look over. I think the challenge right now is more about staff unavailability, making sure we have enough interesting stores (and articles!) and just managing the community. I'm trying to check in enough to at least have a handle on that, and then we should be good. NMA has always been a place that comes and goes, ebbs and flows, obviously the days of being the #1 DEFINITIVE FALLOUT FANSITE are long behind us but we have our own little niche to fill, and happy to fill it!

Counterpoint: You let me be a news poster.

Guro anime is not news-worthy in this page.

Likely my wisest decision in all my time as NMA admin.
