Lonesome road worst DLC?

Other than that, gotta love the Riot Gear and its improved variants. Oh, and satchel charges and flash bangs. I never leave my Novac room without them.

I really loved the riot gear.. Sadly it was still worse than light armor so i used the geck for the first time ever and changed it into the same stats as either the HH or LR light armor you get in the end. I don't remember wich one :/

No Ulysses don't shot entire NCR or Legion.
He admits that missle can't kill NCR or Legion but can break their supply line so both NCR and Legion in Mojave will dry to die.
It's reasonable since NCR suffer from losing supply line(Divide) so cutting another supply line causes big loss of NCR.
That's what Ulysses learn from Courier.

You even played this DLC?

NCR:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB_LXgk-nkE - 0:04

"This will launch Ulysses' missiles against targets in the heartland of the NCR, raining nuclear fire down on it cities and its people."

As for Legion:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxLBSCZ1-xI - 0:23

"This will launch Ulysses' missiles against targets in the lands east of Coloardo controlled by Legion, raining nuclear fire down on its cities and tribes... (...)."

Please, play this DLC before posting something about it...
Because of people like you false informations are spreading, and then are repeated by others.

Ulysses' own words contradict the message on the terminal though.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIrs6IbHK9w&feature=player_detailpage#t=274

Courier: You can't destroy the West, even with all the missiles here.
Ulysses: No need to destroy the bear, just cut its throat.
Ulysses: You taught me that at the Divide - only need to cut off the supply line, the road, to watch something greater die.

Well, seems like Ulysses wasn't good when it comes to technology, but hey, he's only tribal.

Even Avellone words are confirmig that nukes are going to wipe out entire states, not only supply lines. (endings too)

From ending:

The Divide erupted in fire, violent, red as the last message of the two Couriers arced into the sky... The missiles rained like spears down on the land, burning flags and communities alike... destroying all they struck. The history of the West was erased for the second time, thorough and complete... and America slept once more.

Erasing (for complete!) the West for second time (so Great War again) / = / destroying supply lines.

No, mainland too.

"This will launch Ulysses' missiles against targets in the heartland of the NCR, raining nuclear fire down on it cities and its people"

"...missiles fell on the East and the Legion encampment at Dry Wells... where the Twisted Hairs had allied, then been betrayed by Vulpes and Caesar. Legion soldiers died, their silhouettes blasted into the ground and earth, the last word of the last of the Twisted Hairs."

"It was an ending to all things - a way of erasing the road that had led to this point and the history that had walked with it. "

"missiles fell on NCR and the Long 15 caravan route beyond the Mojave Outpost, the road the Courier had been walking when the tale began. Caravans and NCR outposts along the route were reduced to ash, an Old World gift from the Divide"

"As catastrophic as the damage was for NCR, the act made the Courier stronger for having no history, and no retreat. It was an ending to things - a way of erasing the road that had led to this point and the history that had walked with it."

Yep, this.

missiles fell on NCR and the Long 15

NCR and Long 15.

Not only long 15.

+ considering what is saying computer
+ Avellone words

against?

Words of some tribal?

actually if you shot both then ending says you destroyed whole west not only NCR. I think it's flawed ending like FEV virus ending of fo3.

What he said anyway?

but if the ICBM is strong enough to destroy whole NCR or Legion, it would be strange to Mojave to not affected by ICBM.

eh....what he said isn't about Ulysses intension but your choice...
and second one is just his wish not about the game.

what Ulysses want isn't about blow whole NCR or Legion but cutting their throat.

There aren't anything about towns to destroyed at NCR of Legion choice but only about the road is destroyed. I think using only 1 ICBM to cut the throat is what Ulysses choose but if you choose to shoot both then using whole ICBM to do that.

Guys guys you are giving a lot of credit to something that, if what I'm told is true, obsidian whipped up in a mere month.

I found the LR enemies very unbalanced, though often fun to fight. I went in at lvl 26 or so and found the marked men way too easy and death laws and tunnelers a challenge. I thought rawer was ridiculous. Try facing him on an ironman run! Ulysses 'healing robots' were the last straw for me. i mean c'mon. i really started to feel like i was playing a stupid console shooter at that point. but of course I was about to finish the dlc anyway.

But god are death laws a fearsome enemies. I'be played alot of games and those are definitely one of my favorite beastly beasts ever. :) they scare the shit out of me every time with their horrifying speed and those talons .... *shiver*

I'd really hope they actually go with the "NCR/Legion nuked from the map" ending and roll with it. The "Fallout" games are far too advanced in technology and structure to be called postapocalyptic already and I have little interest in even further progress (not that the fallout series can be saved at this point anyway)

And i may be wrong due to my cursed bad memery but cars did have a nuclear engine and that is probably why they made them explode like that?
And maye it's just me but there is nothing funnier than seeing a group or 2 getting raped by an exploding car or 10

If you played FO2, you know cars were nuclear. You fuel it with microfusion cells.

Just because Lonesome Road might have been made within a month doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable.
I think most of us all agree that LR wasn't as deep as we would have liked but that it was still an enjoyable DLC.

Bioware or Gearbox might have done months over the DLCs they made for Mass Effect or Borderlands but in general I don't find theirs very re-playable.

Worked with normal energy cells aswell so i was not sure it was mentioned ingame.

It's an electric car that can take any kind of fuel cell, actually. Small energy cells work, too.
The original Corvega, sharing some tech with the Highwayman, most likely uses the same fuel system.
There were multiple fuel systems available before the war, probably.
Cars with nuclear reactors, cars with fuel cells (small energy and microfusion) and maybe even some leftover internal combustion engines.
Of course there's the question why every car in the Capital Wasteland is nuclear, when they're not anywhere else, but I'd chalk it down to gameplay-reasons.
