Lonesome road worst DLC?

I enjoyed Lonesome Road. It wasn't my favorite DLC, I think Dead Money wins in that aspect, but I still enjoyed it.

I think the only thing I didn't like about it was the requirements to get different dialogue out of Ulysses on each of the three major factions vying for New Vegas.

It's all dependent on your reputation with each group. This isn't so bad with the Legion or the NCR, because like it or not, you're going to piss one of them off. But for House and Independent dialogue, you kinda have to play with the system a bit.

You have to kill both NCR and Legion guys and have a good reputation with Vegas if you want to get dialogue about you siding with House.

If you want to get dialogue talking about Independent Vegas, you have to have somewhat bad relations with all three. Which means, I have to kill a bunch of securitrons and innocent bystanders on the Strip in order to get Ulysses to talk about how I don't follow anyone.

That kind of thing really should have been determined by how far you are in each of the questlines. Because I know at some point, neither the NCR nor the Legion will want anything to do with me once I get past a certain point with Yes Man.

Thankfully, from what I've heard, there's a mod that does just that. Once I start playing NV on the PC, I should probably download that.

Ulysses honestly just seemed like a throw away villain, who though had potential ended up instead being somewhere between Bethesda Villainy and Emo Super Villainy.

Either way, the character could have taken the series in a whole new direction or at least added to the outcome between the protracted struggle between The Legion and the NCR, but instead just became a side-show event.

A Throw Away Villain? Wow. You must not have seen much discussion on Ulysses character on these boards I take it? He was a meticulously planned and well-fleshed-out character, it's just that with the time constraints placed on Obsidian they had to cut him from the main game, and by placing him in a DLC he seemed detached from any consequence to the rest of the story. He really was a much more major character, easily THE actual primary antagonist of the entire game. And he was still excellently characterized and beautifully brought to life in Lonesome Road. Ulysses is a great character, they just didn't have a chance to spend as much time as they wanted on him to make him the best incarnation of himself.

I liked the DLC except for the dumb faction determining system making me have to be a Mr. House fanboy despite me putting a .357 round in his skull and doing the Yes Man route.
Really made the final dialogue a drag for me because of it, felt wrong, like I just went through all that just for the game to bug out and to add to the problems I was a lowly console scrub at the time so there was nothing I could do but take it. :(

If you are on PC there is a mode that corrects the faction alliegance system on Lonesome Road.

Oh yea I know that now, it just sucked my first time going through the DLC ended with that, espec after all the buildup behind Ulysses.
Now that I have it on PC theres a billion ways to fix it.

I didn't really enjoy that DLC, I got bored quickly and ended up ecstatic I NEVER had to play that DLC ever again.
