Anyway, no. The combat armor has a helmet and a backpack and is not contemplated.
 
Oh yeah it totally looks awesome, I just thought it would look way more bad ass with the combat armour. Keep up the good work guys!

x'il and I are nearing completion of the long-hair dude. Now we need to ask for help:

Can someone help us with the technical stuff for how to put a new button into the character creation screen where the player can select between short and long hair??
 
Wow, that looks absolutely sublime. I wasn't expecting to like the ponytailed metal armour, but that looks fantastic.

I'm begging you to include the jumpsuit animations to ensure this gets into FOnline. But hey, just making the unarmoured FOnline player the leather jacket would make the whole wasteland lot more badass. And look a lot less strange.

But can no-one offer us any help on this? We REALLY want to

a) make an appearence button in the character creation screen where the player can choose from a variety of appearences (so this would benefit you guys who are working on the bald dude - Mr Wolna and the black dude - Lisac, Brother Soifran etc)
b) Maybe (maybe) even have the option for the player to go to a barber and get a hair-cut.

But first, we need to find a way to:

a) make a new button (we know this can be done as it's been done in other mods)
b) make the game differentiate between different 'dude FRM's.

Does anyone have experience of this stuff, or any ideas? :help:
 
I talked to Helios and he means it is not really possible via script because in the character creation screen, no script is called. I am not 100% sure about all this stuff but if he says so.
Only way would be with some hax0r stuff but I think, this is a bit too complicated.


Barber stuff is no problem with Sfall and normal scripting.
 
Is there any news on this? Is there no way we can give it a whirl without the whole the 'Choose long/short hair' option integrated ingame?
 
I would love to see this as fast as possible in FOnline. Like the wiki says, it seems to be done. Question now: How long do you guys think will the file-checking need? :)
 
I talk with Cvet, he said he will make option of choosing the skin of character, if new animations are made.
 
Yes, the FRM's are all completed and x'il and I are going through them checking and correcting. We should be 100% done and dusted in 2 or 3 weeks.

Mash (who is now my personal hero) has found a way to make new buttons on the character creation screen. So in case anyone didn't know - Mash is Awesome :clap:

The new dude will hopefully be playable in RP 1.3, the next MM and all that.

Of course you FOnline guys are welcome to use the new art as you wish, as long as x'il and I are credited.

But a word of warning: the new dude's head doesn't always look as natural as the original, default animations so do not expect perfection. Some animations are better than others (ok -- x'il's are better than mine ;)) But otherwise, i think we are happy with the result and i for one am looking forward to a damned hippy playthrough!!
 
X'ill already started doing the bald head dude. How is the status on the long hair dude now? :)
