The 'This version of sfall is out of date' error is what versions of sfall after interplay but before I added the proper update code used to do. They error out if you use them for the first time more than 2 months-ish after the compilation date. You can work around it easily enough by installing the megamod, setting your clock back to whatever date is appropriate for whatever sfall version the megamod is bundling, running fallout once and then setting the clock back. It's only the first run that it gets checked, so it wont bother you from then on.

Well i have another problem. I cannot find Sam in Klamath? Was he removed? Where he is? Not in Trapper Town nor in all of Klamath.
 
After i used up some points on Vic's small guns skills i noticed he was still shooting like crap so i checked his stats,sure enough they were back to normal.It seems that a party members stats return to normal as soon as you leave whatever map your on,so spending skill points on them is a waste since you dont get them back again.

Edit:I have a very annoying bug where the entire screen turns an olive green color and i cant see anything.It happens randomly every now and then and seems to go away if i can manage to reach an exit.There are times when i reach an exit and 3/4 of the world map turns green and the game freezes.
 
Hmm game ends suddently to me. I have a vision from Hakkunin he told me that village dies. game over :shock:

I DID crop save mission and I've bring poison from Rat Tunnels to Arroyo. So excuse my language wtf?
 
What did you do just before game ended? It will end if you kill an essential character or become hated with Arroyo, and probably a dozen other things now. That's why I tend to rush for the GECK in my games now. After you get that and you visit Hakunin for the last time, you have as long as you need to play.
 
Hmm I think i know what the issue is. Game ends after/if I attack(making him unconcious), and rob(don't necesarilly kill) mutated truck driver near Den. Then leave location. Gme over. If i dont touch him it's okay.Weird...

PS. Found Sam in Klamath.

I should have caught that. Lich made the Truck encounter as well as Bunker 21 (see error mentioned earlier). It looks as though he used a script from some Arroyo critter as the shell for critters in those two new locations. I have removed the offending code from the Bunker 21 characters. It'll be easy to fix this error too, and it will be in the next release.

Now that I think about it, I'd better review the scripts for some of the characters at the Abbey as well as the upcoming Vault 5...

I have also another question. Collyweb - Do you know if there's any way of finishing it without killing whole gang or bar owner? After doing bunch of quests and fucking gang boss girl i can provoke her to call gang boss and then talk myself out of the situation. I even get points for talking myself from this situation but whole gang attack me anyway.
There's also error in dialogue when talking to one of gang members but I think someone reported it earlier.

Good job with great mod btw.
 
A few minor bugs and one bigger one.

1:In vault 14 Dr.Dawson is missing his dialog for me.When i try to speak to him i get this message,and then the apllication closes.GDialod:Error grabbing text message.

2:On the second floor or vault 14 The door to the generator just keeps repeating the same message over and over again when i try to use lockpick on it,it tells me im standing in front of the door to the generator.The two doors to the captives on that lvl say error when you check them but they work properly.

3:The ghoul on the third lvl of vault 14 acts like we have already had a conversation when i meet him for the first time,he says"oh,its you again".The only dialog option i have with him is to apologize for entering the wrong room.

4:Also in vault 14,any time you take an elevator to another lvl you dont exit the elevator when you spawn on the next floor,you have to use AP to manualy open the door because you go into combat mode imediately if any critters are around.

5:In the BOS research facility the officer on the second lvl tries to kill you if you speak to him a second time.Im positive im not enemies with the BOS.I gave Matt in sanfran the vertibird plans,and no one else in the facility tries to shoot me.If i dont speak to the officer he ignores me completely.
 
@Ozzymo Read page 4 of this thread for a bunch of those problems. Perhaps if you would have read my post attempting to help you with your earlier problem you already would know this was posted. Not only that, but you would also know why the problem happened and the temporary fix for it.

In fact, this thread is only 6 pages, might be a good idea to read them all and see if anything else is there you need to know. The MM 2.3 threads were well over 50 pages and some people read through them so they didn't repost the same problems over and over.
 
Just a quick question : Is it possible to utilize tailor kit from Balthas and his training he's giving and actually sew armour from Gecko(or any other) hides?

1. Addressed.

2. Are you saying the door is not opening? Regarding the doors to the prisoners, that is my mistake, again, in renaming a dialog file.

3. I'll check the ghoul's variables and see what is going on there. The problem might not be in the variables, but just in a switched dialog line. Perhaps he is not supposed to say you have seen, but is supposed to say some general greeting (unless you have the 'quest' to see him).

4. Spoke to Nirran about the elevator. He said that he should be able to use sfall to correct that elevator bug.

5. I'm betting that you did not read the dialog carefully enough the first time you spoke to him. Granted, this does need to be tweaked anyway, but, he should have given you a type of warning. Note the times you are there/how long you have been there.

@Sula: Mr. Fixit. Use the binoculars on your character. Regarding Colly, I will look at the female gang member's script and see why the hostile flags are still being set..
 
@ Solon:Thanks for the tip friend but i have read this whole thread.Ive read this thread many times but i had forgotten about that post.A simple redirect to the that page would have been sufficient but i truly apreciate the advice.

@MIB88:Yes the door wont unlock at all,it just keeps repeating the message that im standing in front of it.As far as the commander in the research facility is concerned,he said i had as much time as i needed because i was delivering a message to the doctor.

Edit:The game crashes when i try to enter the glow from the world map and i get an error message it says cannot read memory.
 
Sorry for peevish owly-ness. Wasn't warranted nor your fault. I have just gone back to V14 on a new save, the ghoul did not sound like he knew me. I don't think he did last game I was there either.

Then again, I think much of that dialog is lost in translation. The lines include something along the lines of "Do you know they keep you by the head and ears?" , "Don't you know, I would like to chop you up?" , and "Sorry, I think milk boiling, I must go." Lol, writers were not primarily English speaking, and cultural expressions often don't translate. Sort of like Collyweb, which sounds like the dialog was written by a maladjusted, overly aggressive twelve year old who was trained in speaking English by watching "B" grade action movies from the 80's.

Before anyone gets their dander up, I don't think I could do better, and I don't have the kind of time it took write it. I appreciate the writers effort, and MIB88 for incorporating it, and enjoy all the locations regardless of their writing skills or those of the translators. Sometimes it sort of feels like I am trying to understand some strange sub culture.

Before this week is over. Nirran has been working with sfall and has made a lot of fixes/corrections for this project. Just a couple of things I want to check over. Also, just as a heads up, be careful about going to the Primitive Tribe or the Slaver camp until after the next patch. I forgot to include a lot of the scripts required for those areas. From the current readme file to be included with the next patch/update:

-Changed many of the encounters in which enemies were using dogs in their
party to attack the player. Now the dogs attack at the same time as the
other human enemies. (This was actually done in 2.4, but I forgot to
mention it.)
-Updated the way certain dialogs are handled in Bunker 21

    -The car will no longer disappear if you drive it there
    -Corrections to various NPCs there
-Attempting to recruit Dogmeat with iguana-on-a-stick no longer crashes

-Xarn fixed: player can no longer set him free and get him to join you and

    -Spit weapons work better and you will no longer see messages about
    them being out of ammo
    -Sounds work better
    -Eliminated the chance for 'looping', causing the roaches (and the game)

-New artwork for Metzger (in a certain situation)
-Added a number of new inventory items (though not fully implemented yet)
-Corrections to Klint
-Corrections to some support files
-Added files for critters/scenery in Vault 14
-Changed issues regarding money with the San Francisco merchants
-Added the NPCs Loot Bodies Mod by pelicano
-Included a number of missing files for the Primitive Tribe and Slaver Camp
-Attacking NPCs at the truck location and Bunker 21 will no longer ruin
your reputation in Arroyo

Although, I am not sure about whether to include the fixes for Klint. The fix for Klint will require that a new game be started. I'll leave it separate (one file is the culprit), and write instructions for those who don't mind starting over.
 
I haven't fixed the Vertibird Assault Team yet. As for Maria, I haven't been able to reproduce the error with her getting stuck in her patrol loop.
 
Hello everyone, its my first post here.

Ok, I have problem in EPA /original via Myron/. Elevators didnt work on grey level.The lift opens but does nothing if i go in. I can walk around them. Then I tried to get to the base from worldmap 8-) . Maps work just fine, but number 4 /i think its red level/ crashing immediately after entering the map or shows only a black screen with red cursor.
 
Black screen with red cursor usually means missing map file IIRC. Sometimes I have been able to reload a game where that happens and had it work ok. Other times it was a bad install meaning reinstall. Once even it was a map that was accidentally left out of the mod package. On my way to EPA to see if I can replicate.
 
Well, I have t report an error but It isn't really helpful. But remember what I said about those CTDs on the Morton-encounter? Well, I reached a part in the game where I cannot "survive" any kind of random encounter at all. Whenever there is a fight in a random encounter or caravan mission it either CTD during battle or the game freezes and I have to logout from windows to shut down the program. There is no pattern, sometimes it occurs when a critter dies, sometimes some critters freeze in their movement (Cockroaches don't work at all, for example), sometimes it's during my turn - but as a matter of fact I can't play random encounters any more, out of 10 encounters I could finish only one - but it worked fine all the time, something I triggered must've broken the game somehow. Party consists of Sulik, Goris and Marcus (without armour), Player level is 23, Arroyo already has been wiped out. Current global quest is to get to the enclave and kick ass.
