Fallout 2 mod Megamod version 2.47 Bug Reports and Suggestions

RPU is in MODs folder, but not wiithin its own folder in there.s
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 2\mods - let it stay, but I didn't test the dependencies

One more silly question. Just fired up the installer, the name of the file is .5, but the installer still calls it .2 However, it is the right one, correct?

Oh well, installed it. Since it is new to me, I wont know the difference anyways. FYI, the splash screens says 4.2 as well. Thanks for the MOD.

It is a full repack and is the only version you need.
  • Recommended clean installation, in a subfolder (more information below).
  • However, keep in mind that some changes/fixes may not appear in your game unless you start a new game or enter a location for the first time.
  • If you played a lot in the previous version, please backup & don't delete it. And copy the save to the new version of the mod. If you have problems, you can return to the previous version.
I know there are still a number of issues/bugs, especially involving the Brotherhood of Steel.

If there is anyone out there who is able to post it on NMA or would like to include it on any other sites, please feel free to do so. I would greatly appreciate that.

about bugs:
- BOS bunker facility, though that is not a suprise. Managed to lift the siege, but after that can't get down.
- Advanced power armor doesn't always display animation in maps. Seems like sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
- BOS research facility - can't get quest for gecko pelts
- EPA - I cleared all the plants on the entrance level, but alas, groundskeeper doesn't recognize my efforts
- EPA - game crashes when I try to open doors with deathclaws behind them
- EPA - generally crash every now and then.
- Abbey - despite downloading data from all the required computers, when I get back I can't download date to quest computer

Installation method:
Manual installation:
  • Install Fallout 2.
  • Unpack the archive with mod v2.4X.x
  • Copy the contents from the archive in to the game directory, confirming the overwrite.
  • Run Start_mm.bat (wait several seconds) and change the resolution (1280*720 recommended).
  • Ok, well done.
or installer:
  • Install Fallout 2.
  • Run Megamod 2.4X.X (follow the instructions)
  • Default, installation takes place in a subfolder and does't overwrite the original! [C:\Games\Fallout 2\MOD].
  • To install in the game directory, please, change the path and enable checkbox "Root directory mode".
  • Ok, well done.

did you fixed vault 23's elevator in 2.47.5 ver and the other bugs that mentioned in this topic or what ? i'am very comfortable with this version

I might have noticed a small bug during my play though.

Namely in the changelog it says:

But as I begin the game I notice that there is no Virgin reputation for my Chosen One to begin with. Off screen sex before the game begins?

Other than that all is going nicely. Great stuff!!!
 
So, dont know if a bug or intended. In arroyo the shaman put the devil spell on my spear. Then I went to get my spear sharpened by the bridge and the following happens:
  1. I received the quest to go find flint.
  2. Went to talk to Auntie but she wont talk to me except to tell me to git.
  3. I tried to find the "pot" for her and could not find one except I bought it from the other dude by the bridge.
  4. Went back to auntie and she still wont talk to me, except to tell me to git.
I am ASSuming that is either spell or sharpened tip. However, i should not get the quest to get the flint, right?
The quest is in PipBoy.
 
Just steal the flint, she's carrying it...save and reload if things go pear shaped, I don't think she attacks you if you're caught.

You can bypass new entrance to rat tunnels. I dont know if it is at any time, but once I got the key, I clicked the area where the car is for the fuel injector and my character ran all the way outside the map AND got there. So, you can enter the tunnel via the garage.

Edit: when above happens, you can go up the steps of initial entrance even if you did not remove the rocks.

I am beginning to think my installation is buggered. I cant find the hammer to open the door in rat tunnels with wrench. Did find a crowbar though.

u need the wrench and the sledge hammer,the hammer is in east sewer section,whenu have both use repair on door
