I am also one of those who think he didn't really sleep with the boys like "that". He was just a kid who never got to grow up instead being worked to death by an overbearing and abusive father. See a lot of that in the asian culture. Granted it was weird that he tried to relive his childhood by sleeping with other children but that doesn't exactly make him a pedophile.
So he was a weirdo but that doesn't mean he should be crucified for it.
As someone who grew up with him through the 80s and beyond, he will always be remembered by me as an innovator, barrier breaking, awesome musician. He was one of the primary movers that made MTV for what it is (atleast in the 90s towards the 2000s). The fact that new stars still continue to emulate him says volumes for his enduring talent.

hmm I have my doubts that history will be thinking that bad about him. It will have controversials inside for sure but when I consider all the fuss they make about him on M-TV now and many other shows over here I guess that people will more or less remember his music in future.

Some will remember OJ as a great football player who was wrongfully accused of murder, and was acquitted. Others will remember him as the brutal murderer who got away with it and then rubbed it in the faces of the victim's parents.
Some will remember MJ as a musical legend who had a horrible childhood that scarred him for life... and others as someone who was just bad shit crazy, possibly molested a kid, and mutilated his body to the point of looking like a monster.
What I want to know, is where were all of these hollywood "friends" of his that are popping up all over tv right now when he was alive?
