Well yeah, but if they've been here a lot and know what they're doing then who cares if they're two months old?
 
It's definitely not a good thing that we have zero active admin staff for weeks. Usually it's no problem, but sometimes stuff might need to be done that requires more than what a moderator can do.
Either way, I'm flattered that you think of me, but I'm entirely unqualified. Admin duties are an entirely different shitsandwich of which I do not wish to take a bite :D
 
I voted: Sure

NMA is a very active site and has a big community, and sometimes there is no Admin on sight for many days in a row.
A place like this needs an admin around every day just to keep watch over the place. Also a couple more Moderators wouldn't hurt.

So what exactly are the responsibilities of an Admin? My understanding was that they were super-powered moderators.
Anyhow, f Hassknecht Isn't up for it then what about @The Dutch Ghost? You've been a member since 2004 and you're a moderator, only if you're up for it, of course.

Admins do more technical stuff, site maintenance and so on. Also, responsibility. Not my cup of tea.
 
Yeah some new admins and moderators might be a good idea. I'd nominate myself but I don't spend much time on the General Discussion Forum and I assume that's where moderating would be needed most.
 
I feel very honored for being mentioned but when it comes to technical stuff I am not sure if I am a good choice as I don't have any technical skills or knowledge in this field. It is not that I would not want to do it, it just that I don't know how.

Even as a moderator I sometimes feel that I come short because I find it difficult from time to time to determine what is allowed and what is not allowed, and to distinguish when a thread goes to far off subject.
I am not even sure about warning posters sometimes when they misbehave.

Heh for a guy who threatened to strangle Todd Howard on stage during the Bethesda presentation of Fallout 4 I am pretty meek.
 
I'm in limbo at the moment on something like this. I feel it'd be nice to have another new active admin and maybe some moderators. But I'm a little worried in some cases. One being I'm worried an admin can become a little too active in the sense of people getting thrown out for relatively minor things and I'm worried we'd lose some of these awesome flavorful discussions we have because someone be moderating a little too closely for us to have any good discussion or fun discussing something. It's kinda hard.

Well, I'm pretty regular, logging in everyday and so on, and unless hard times hit, I can spend a lot of time here, so that's not exactly a big problem.

Problem is that, for the most part, I skip most of NMA's content. I entirely skip FO4 subforum, FO3 too, and General Gaming and Discussion I visit every so often, but not everyday. Not to mention that most of the stuff discused there (political) doesn't interest me enough to get overly invested in the threads, so I'd be pretty bad at moderating those.
So yeah, I'd be a bad admin. I'd be around...but I wouldn't be around.
