most newbie-thing done on fallout

Oh, the first time I played fallout I also lost a LLLLOOOOTTT of time (believe me, when I say that it was a lot of time it WAS A LOT OF TIME) looking for the “Vipers” and with the “Ask me about” thingy (especially with Tandi…)…

Going to set explosives at radscorpion caves, setting timer. Running away, forgot to drop explosives. Kaboom.

why would u set explosives in the rad scorpin caves??

heh, the tell me about thing was quite fun for a while, at least back then, ....

I also played F2 first.

When I played 1 I melted after going to the glow.

The second time I played the game I did the risky 'cheat' of save, move two squares, save, move two squares and successfully reached San Fran and then reached Navarro and got advanced power armour etc. Soon I was ultimate after hunting some deathclaws with plasma rifle and managed to get to the Enclave and finish it easily. The defense turrets killed Horigan with criticals by themselves and the game was finished without really doing anything. I do not recommend such actions as it makes the game unbalanced, if not fun and spoils the atmoshere. (bows head in shame)

I didn't realize you could do targeted attacks until halfway through Fallout and I found that out by accident.

I hate it when people cheat through an rpg then brag about their characters....

although having beaten fallout 2 759 times I have no compunctions about cheating anymore, modding is good though, also trying to get as many titles as possible (porn star, prizefighter, made man, sexpert, gigalo, etc)

stupidest thing ever? assuming the seargent in navarro had a sense of humor...

You don't know? Bwahahahahahahahaha! It's one way of dealing with them. It's also a good way to get extra XP.

Oh, and Kahgan: woeld yu pleaz lurn to rite propper englisc? becoz it's reelly hard to desipher wat yu rite sumtimez...

Kahgan must be a hilbilly from Utah to speak in that manner.

Another dumb thing I did in 2 was to accidentally wipe out Vault City when Lynett pissed me off. But it was worth it so I think it was not so stupid after all. (ah ESC+L).

Trying to use a Bozar with an EXTREMELY LOW big guns skill. it went something like
"l0s7 critically missed with the Bozar and took 230 hit points and was killed"
reloaded
Same thing (different damage)
reloaded
Same thing (different damage)
reloaded
tried a plasma rifle same thing (different damage)
reloaded tried a 10mm pistol
critically missed and broke the pistol
reloaded
snuck up
tried c4
forgot to drop
KABOOM

Can someone top that?

I think that might have been helped because the game calculates ahead a bit to stop people from cheating (although this can be abused with gambling). If the calculation determines that the next shot will be a critical failure and you keep on shooting and reloading, you will keep suffering from a critical failure. But then that's just a theory because I am no programmer.

I'm starting to be ashamed to be a norwegian, Kahgan: we have installed a spell checker for a reason...

"Noobest thing I ever did was play through the game the slow way instead of getting electronic lockpicks, picking brotherhood door, and getting Power Armor waaaayyyyyyy early. "

You can do that? Bah.

And to say that you don't even need electronic picklocks to get the PA waaaaaaaaayyyy early...

Not quite n00b, more like a forgetful lazy thing.

I forgot to to talk to Vree about the Super Mutants gonad problem before i went off to see the Master, the wonderful Master of the coast.
So here i'm thinking i'm gonna make him kill himself but instead the thread wasn't there and I thought well i think i can take him. I opened fire on lard ass and he exploded me like a Hobo blood sausage.
I loaded and tried again with talking and if finally donned on me that i didn't talk to Vree. I was to lazy to go talk to her and decided to go the easy route.

So I just snuck into the basement and set him up the bomb. 8)

I've went though Fallout 2 an un-healthy amount of times, went through Fallout 1 once or twice, thought 2 was better. Played 2 first btw.

Anyway, I would go through the game (Fallout 2) with 1 luck. Would often miss with my pistol or rifle with a 95% chance of hitting, and say "god damnit, I have such horrible luck!!!" till one day it dawned on me. Yep, I felt stupid.

BTW, I think I've done every other n00bish thing here mentioned as well.

I blew the master away, took a bit of step out from behind the pillar/wall, shoot, step back style fighting, but whooped up on him none the less.
