Nope, that would be the Luger. A rather useless gun, especially since ammo is impossible to find, but it's more of an Easter Egg anyway.

The .223 pistol is probably the best Small Arms weapon in the game, together with the Red Ryder LE BB Gun.

you can get it in fallout 1 too by helping some farmer in the den. i forget the dudes name but hes at the very bottom of downtown.

Gizmo's Mauser an easter egg? I wonder. Does it refer to anything, or is it the kind of easter egg that's just there to be found?

I used every weapon of course, but I replayed the damn games so many times I used the Super Sledge as a primary weapon about 50% of the times.

Also, in those old D&D fantasy games I don't play any more, I always played a huge guy with a huge f*cking hammer. If the setting was futuristic, I used a huge sword - just to be gay, as my friends told me.

Melee weapons all the way.

Turbo Plasma Rifle
FO 2 :
Gauss for Vic and Cassidy, and the most devastating close range gun 'Bozar' and Pulse Rifle for me. That's what i always use in the enclave base.

I've never gone wrong with a shotgun of any sort, mostly the pancore jackhammer, but others too. I never did like big guns, coz I kept getting killed by people using them.

Fallout 1: -Alien Blaster(Pain)
-Turbo Plasma Rifle(Range)

Fallout 2: -Alien Blaster: Would be nice, but it is so damn hard to
get.
-Magnumn(Speed Load): Nice with Fast Shot and
Bonus Rate of Fire.
-Gauss Rifle: Take all sniping perks and you can kill
anything with one shot.
-Bozar: "Raider was hit for 659 damage, Raider was
killed"
-Mega Power Fist+Slayer= :twisted:
-Solar Scorcher: Unlimited ammo!
-Red Ryder LE BB gun: 100 clip size, small ap cost, see
both Gauss Rifle and Magnumn. My favorite.
 
FO1 turbo plasma rifle... Pretty good, and the satisfaction when the bastards were pulverized and fell to the ground :twisted:

FO2 turbo plasma rifle, bozar, flamethrower (just the animation when they die... ammo weighed way too much..) :twisted:
 
What I used

F1 == I became addicted to the combat shotgun and the super sledgehammer.

F2 == Flamer (gotta love torching children with that one), Vindicator minigun (Enclave Trooper was critically hit for 1052 damage), Pulse Rifle (love to fry them Vault City guards).

FO2 Pulse Rifle
FOT Browning M2 with the depleted uranium rounds (critical hit on humanoid robot for 1803 hp)
 
Always been a small gun and big gun type of guy.
