New animations 2

Nope - no female animations i'm afraid.

And no chance to see them in future? :(

The long hair dude smoking animations are cool too, I already wanted to ask. :P

Hey, Josan!

Since you're at smoking animations again, I posted some scripting proposals for you here

I don't know if you'll have any use for them, but well...

Sorry to stray from the main topic.

You like Mr. Lizard?

The firing animation is done:

(Though, i gotta say, i don't know how should i name this frm's: as a new weapon set or what?)

Make a new item, and call it something like dual miniguns or something. Then, using Cubik's item editor, assign to it one of the new art animations (animation codes o, p, q, s, or t). As long as all the required animations are complete (pa, pb, pc, pd, pe, ph, etc.), you won't have any problems with this, as the critter will use this animation when it has the item in it's weapon hand.

You'll have to make sure that the new item is destroyed when the critter is killed, though or else you'll get some player changing himself into this supermutant when he gets his hands on the gun (but that is another minor issue ;)).

Yup yup. It's true. Thanks to Timeslip integrating new animations is easy. But creating the artwork - not so much

Perhaps the dual minigun item should be destroyed, and instead you should get two regular miniguns? The only problem would be ammo which will spawn inside the miniguns.

BTW, is there any way to give a critter a weapon with an empty magazine? Or is it possible to remove ammo inside a weapon with a script command?

As for the ammo in the minigun, it's not a problem. Not really a big deal which ammo is inside (it would be the JHP, though). Unfortunately, though, both miniguns would have full ammo.

If a critter is placed on a map, it is easy to give him a weapon with no ammo. Just empty the magazine, drop the ammo, and delete it. I don't know how it could be done an a map with randomly generated critters. As for removing ammo via script, Nirran already tried to accomplish that, but it wasn't possible.

Very nice once again!

Damn, all this new critter stuff is really great. Should have come earlier. :)

Btw. is there already a wiki page with all new critter/ animations that have been done so far?

/Edit: I've created a new category for that stuff. And X'il, you should update your page too before it gets deleted. :>

I think it was because someone linked your nick and some other created a page. There was some very wired question first, I deleted it because it looked silly.

just a thought - isn't smg to large? now for me it's too big for poor cassidy - magazine is almost the size of the arm ;)
