New Fallout 4 screenshots this time on PC

I wonder why gamers now expect modders to fix the flaws in so called AAA titles when the developers themselves show a lack of interest in doing so.
Don't modders in general want to add to games rather than fixing the flaws that damages the initial gameplay session?

I fear there may come a time that when a new game is released that buyers will actually have to wait until the modders are done with modifying its content before they can finally start playing their new game. And it will be considered normal by game publishers.

It's not all gamers, it's pretty much just Bethesda' games. People are so used to modders fixing their games that they believe that modding is part of the developer's plan.
IIRC, not even a third of the player base are on the PC though. So why would the console players be using mods as an argument in favour of Bethesda?

Because the most vocal part of the community is online most likely playing the games on a PC. The other part of the community that has been wanting mods will now get that so they can parrot it even more.

Hah! Uh well.

Anyway, You know, I think there is something I really would like to explore narratively, however I think that isn't really easy to achieve. Imagine if your son would actually be your mirror. Depending on your actions in the game he would be either a hero, or a villain that you have to fight - and beeing truly neutral leading to a very different ending would be kinda the "hidden" ending. The choices have to bee not hamfisted though and more subliminal requiring good writing, so you don't get at the first time you're playing the game.

If that is the case then I will gladly admit that I was wrong. However, from the looks of things I don't think so.

The "look of things" is a few trolls posting the same thing, you do realize that right? I can't understand this "ready to believe anything" attitude without evidence.

It's exactly the kind of thing I would imagine Bethesda learned from New Vegas: "Hey, how about we let the player chose whom to nuke at the end? Brilliant greymoral writing 10/10 GOTY for sure!"

/edit:
Heh, I bet Bethesda is currently working on a new ending to cram in the Day 1 patch :D

Great idea, that would actually be an awesome use of morality.
If the game was any good aside from that, it would make me actually replay it to see the endings.
I would play the good guy and kill the son - happy wasteland due to my actions.
Play evil character and let my son kill me - happy wasteland due to my son's actions.
neutral character - possibly joining forces and happy wasteland with both of our efforts, maybe?
And then you could get 3 more endings with an unhappy wasteland. And maybe some more where there is a compromise and the wasteland is neither happy nor unhappy.

This would have so much potential to be great. Too bad Bethesda is 1000 years too young to pull something like this off.
