Gametrailers offers up a video featuring new gameplay footage, including the exit from the Vault, as well as from Springvale Elementary. It also shows combat taunts as floating text.

Check it out, some interesting new stuff in there.

Thanks Black.

EDIT: this is apparently from Bravo TV show Playr in the UK (thanks VG247).

looks good to me :) shame is such low quality but maybe some kind soul will put up some fo shizzle high def version.

This was more interesting to watch than the E3 presentation, actually. Most things look good, in this kind of resolution at least. I'm pretty sure I spotted another of the houses seen here and here and here, though. And the VATS cutaway in the darkness (directly after the close-up on the welding mask) was also a bit pointless, but that could be the video quality. Overall, nice to see some stuff.

The armors I was able to make out were Raider Badlands Armor and Raider Blastmaster Armor. As for weapons, there's a .32 pistol and a pool cue.

That was uploaded as a user movie so does anyone know the original source? It has a Bravo watermark in the corner so does the Bravo channel have a games show? Anyway I think it looks good but I'll echo the calls for a better quality version.

Actually if you look closely you can see that he's walking through through this very screenshot. You can even spot the tricycle.

How do you guys dig the temporary blinding effect when you leave the vault? Neat, huh?

Except for the fact that it's not what would happen. Who wants to bet that if you stand with your face to the grating for ten minutes (or an hour) before going out, you don't get the blinding effect?

We've been speculating on this. I haven't been able to find out much using Google, so if anyone recognizes any of the presentation graphics please let us know.

Ah, true. When he's on the cliff, the watertower directly below is the tower from that screenshot, and then it cuts to when he's gone past the buildings.

Per, I like you, but if you sit in an empty cave for 10 minutes just to catch the game in a minor eye dilation inconsistency, it won't be the game that's broken.

So I guess that's the 10mm pistol he's using? There was a little white square next to one of them when he took the stuff from the Raider's corpse.

Also, why did he pick that ugly ass welding mask when there was a cool set of sunglasses above it? 8-)

Because it's funny.

Didn't Todd Howard's girly giggle convince you it is funny?

(sorry guys, you all know I don't particularly like slagging individual developers, but dude giggles like a girl)

Don't you worry. He's not a real developer.

All right, what if it's not daytime when I go out? How's the game going to slam me with the iconic "argh my eyes" moment then?

Whatever the case maybe I enjoyed this. I actully like the welding mask being used as a helment.

It could be the quality of the video, but... I think the graphic you can see when the player leaves the vault... looks just ugly. Look at the rocks and the texture and so on...

I was thinking the exact same thing...

Anywaysey, the trailer looked good, i like the feel of openess it gave and the feeling of bleakness and destruction too. Graphics looked just as i expected so no surprises there.

All in all pretty pleased.

Much less an "individual" developer, he's like a generic girly-giggling make-believe developer of make-believe RPGs

The vault open was cool though?

first time i could bear to listen to Todd alltho i did cringe when he repeated the bit about the eyebot.

dont want to bitch about it
i want to see more

as someone pointed out the more i see the smaller this world looks (with no great distances to travel - and debris everywhere)

Yeah but it reinforces my question of how the hell you leaves a vault which no one is supposed to leave when the overseer and his goons are chasing you, let alone leave it through the front door... They all hate you because you supposedly helped your father leave so now they just let you unseal the vault and leave? Methinks the devs need to watch the Fallout 2 introduction video again...
