Seahawks come up with a big win

Yeah, well, don't think it means anything. It had all the trappings of an incidental win. But we'll see.

PS: I also really hope Singletary is in for the long haul. Dude rocks.

ugh. that was a good game. fuck. only Pack loss this season i enjoyed watching. man, they really played so well though...shame. they really deserved that win. :(

Dumbass FOX switched away at 4:15 as Bironas was lining up in OT, without any warning, to the Giants game in our local market here. Not even the Giants game itself though, the Giants pre-game with Joe Buck and Troy stroking each other off, which was interrupted 5 minutes later by...the replay of Bironas' kick - nice coverage guys.
I was rooting for the Packers there, kind of sucks how winning the coin toss ends up winning you the game most of the time, can't say the Titans didn't earn it though.

Anyway, just wondering, why does Plaxico Burres need eyeblack?

I haven't seen any highlights yet (not to mention any games), but just by looking at the scores...what a crazy week.

Too bad the Pack lost, but at least it sounds like they played tough. That's quite a bit better than I expected a few weeks ago.

Did anyone notice whether Harrell made a difference on the D-line?

BTW, I was sorry to see KGB released, but really - it was time.

they definitely showed up to play...for the "spirit award" i felt like they shoulda won the damn game. too true how that coin toss mighta just won it. almost like saying "heads or tails/win or lose" your choice! 'cause the Pack scored on their drives just as much as the Titans.

*sigh*

anyway, UW...i didn't see any difference from Harrell...but i also had a really bad connection for the first 3 quarters of the game. and KGB, it did seem like his day in the sun has come and gone, eh?

Does anyone remember the proper way to slit ones wrists?

Hey cheer up! Your team isn't the Lions or the Bengals or the Raiders.

The Packers were awful a couple years ago. It just meant that they got high draft picks so they could rebuild.

Hass will be back next year good as new, hopefully, and you should nab an exciting new player with your first pick.

Also, the Seahawks don't have to improve all that much to contend to the NFC West. It's not exactly a murderers row.

They will need to improve in order to compete in other leagues though. My dismay over their record this year is mainly that of empathy toward Holgrem. Its the mans last year and he will not have the send off that he deserves. -Sure he will always remember the good times... Like 2005 :| it just won't be what he deserves.

Maybe he will come back after a year; however, I doubt that will be the case and I suspect that things will never quite be the same in Seattle. It indeed would be tough getting used to Seattle being as great as the Bengals or Lions once again. 8+ years ago seems like ages ago.

You know what they say: Not For Long.

Green Bay had a long, slow slide into the cellar, but it was amazing how quickly they turned it around. The first half of the season two years ago they were still horrible. Then the young players suddenly seemed to figure it out, and they went on a winning streak to finish 8-8, then 13-3 last year. It happened in the blink of an eye.

I'd say Seattle still has a decent core team. They'll be okay next year if luck doesn't desert them on the injury front like it did this year.

Too bad for Holmgren, but he'll survive.

Ohh you are the elixir of life sir.

At any rate, injures seem to be subsiding. Looks like almost everyone for the hawks will be healthy and playing two to three games from now... A bit too late though. At least Patrick Kerny will get a game or two in before the end of the season. I do enjoy seeing him cream folk.

Neon feet, AKA Leonard Weaver will be good to play in Miami this Sunday. Hasselbeck, next week.

Well, just look at it from the perspective of a Detroit fan. The Lions are probably going to have the first pick in the next draft, but the odds are good that it won't make a bit of difference. They'll manage to screw it up, and the team will continue to suck as it always has.

I read a breakdown of their drafts over the past ten years (I'll see if I can find a link), and it's flat-out pathetic. They've had multiple top-ten picks and they're still garbage.

Also, your team isn't doing absurd things like trading for Meangelo Hall and then cutting him halfway through the season. Things could be much, much worse. Trust me. I'm in a fantasy league with three Detroit homers. :)

One thing I've always wondered about the Seahawks is why Weaver doesn't get more opportunity. I know he's a good fullback, but whenever I've seen him play, he looks like he's good enough to be the featured running back, or at least a solid member of a 50/50 RBBC system. He reminds me of Steven Jackson, only a little bigger and a little slower.

Kerney's a relentless pass rusher, love a guy that can create mayhem like that.

And combine him with Tatupu and Hutchinson... holly shit, you have the defensive 2005 Superbowl champions... Oh wait, Hutchinson left for the Metrodome! It's all about the $ for some players eh?

EDIT: *Crossing fingers*

jesus fuck. with a weak o-line and a d-line that can't stop the run, the goddamn Pack are never going to return to having a winning record.

SON OF A **** * *********** * * ***** ***** BI*** MOTHER ***** SPUD GUN! Maybe when Matt is back at QB next week things will change?

Edit: Weaver an Seneca injured themselves against the Dolphins... I do believe a higher power is at play here.

Yeah, their run-d is lacking. Barnett got hurt too, which can't be good. Still, they should've won the game. Again. Just like last week.

At least Chicago lost too. I think the Titans should win the NFC North this year.

I'm kinda rooting for the Titans to win the gold this time around. I'd like to see the underdog team take the cake... Being from the pacific NW, rooting for underdog teams is in my blood.

An interesting tidbit, Many of Seattle's stats are now worse than the Lions... Pwnage!

Holly shit... Did anyone watch Monday Nights game? There were more penalties than I could count. Literally on one drive in the 4th quarter there were four back to back penalties!

What was more impressive is San Fransisco almost took the Cardinals down a notch... Too bad they didn't now the Cardinals are comin' to clean house at Seattle.
