NPC Armor

Or, maybe just remove the frames where his hands are on top of the helmet... stop just before it gets there and maybe hold it. It would look like a mock salute... just the kind of thing the smart-ass Myron would do.

Good thinking Batman.

As probably the last installment of the F2 NPC armour mod i'm glad to announce that Myron Combat Armour is done and dusted:

I stuck with the helmet for the combat, though half way through i wished i hadn't as now i can't see that lovable blonde mop following me around. But i'm pretty happy with the final result. I also modified a few of the most important PA animations specifically for Myron to make him that little bit more unique - AA (idle), AB (walk), HB (walk with pistol)

I doubt the other armours will get done. Personally, i don't generally pick Myron up until i've got a spare suit of combat anyway. It'd be nice to have metal so he can have a suit of Tesla, but i'll leave that for someone else to do ;)

As always, feedback appreciated

Ho, that Myron in combat armor look so sweet, i think I am not even going to wait for RP 1.3 to play with it!

And I like the PA too! He put the helmet in the AA animation right? That's a very good idea, i might use it for Brotherhood npc with others heads! Any chance you do the same with the combat armor?

Great works, like always...

Ho and any chance you (or someone else) put the link with rapidshare/megaupload?
I can't get the file throught badongo...

Josan12 i must congratulate you.
From the days you started to edit those models until now, you have become pretty good at it.

I remember it when some parts of the body poped up from side to side; or the armor looked like it was just pasted in the old model and moved around; or even when something was added and the colors didnt fit (or maybe i'm confusing those images with your work).

Anyway, now it looks almost like it was the fallout devs who made those images.

Yes, they are really good. Just one minor thing: look at the shadow of the PA model. It looks kinda unnatural - it changes itself. However, it's still fine like that.

Thanks to x'il's hard work Cassidy now has a leather jacket! And he looks cooooooool! :D

Of course this work will only be included in the NPC armor mod with x'il's permission....

C'mon Lexx. Pull some strings at FOnline. We need bald protagonists. And, to a lesser degree, scrawny Myron protagonists. Even if the weapon selection is minimised, just as a fun option.

I agree greatly with Lazlo. Getting those new animations at FOnline would be awesome. Both as protagonists and NPCs. Let's go there and post, Lexx, I can back ya up man!

And weapon selection would't be minimised if someone made all frames for all characters. That would be a lot of work, but its VERY strange to see a world where there are only two player character appearances - Male and female.

If not all animations for male and female heros are available, cvet will say no.

Yep, thats right; So even if all the bald cassidy guy were to be completly made, it wouldn't be usable unless the bald girl were to be done! :D

Sounds like Cvet could do with recruiting artists to actually produce something like this, then. Or at least request them.

I've started a thread on it in FOnline's beta testing section, so not everyone here will be able to access it, but it's also the only way it'll get noticed.

If nothing comes of it, no big deal, at the very least it might get the work of Josan and his contemporaries a little more attention.

Also, Josan, I think I was the only one who noticed that you mentioned you could 'scale down' the PC's build. I think I might be the only person who'd be interested in that.

Hey - thanks for remembering this! :) I also thought it was a great idea. I can't believe no-one except you was interested. Seemed like a great idea to me :ego:

I had some ideas for something like that too, but don't know how to do it...
Do you think you could scale down Horrigan so that he looks the same size as a power armor guy? Then it would be usable for a mutant PA...

Other Idea, to make a big statue of Lynette. Scale up one frame of Lynette. Put a grey mask on it Then , copy past it on the vault dweller statue.

Second Idea : Maxson Hologram, same thing, but instead of on frame and a grey mask, just use a show one file direction (like the migigun one ) with a transparence flag.
That would fit perfectly with my Maxson city...

What do you and your ego think ? :D

Here's what my ego thinks

He is scaled down to 68% of his original size - and that's the problem with horrigan. You can see it messes with the offsets and creates a slight 'wibble'. This is what happens if you scale a critter by more than about 6%. My experiments with making a thin and wide player critter is that it works fine because it's within the approx 6% limit.

Good idea. That'd be easy.

Errrrm .... what's the 'Maxon hologram'??

Would be awesome to be able to use horrigan critter as PA for mutant or even the hero.
But i guess it would demand to much grunt work to make animations to every weapon.

Great work with Cassidy!

I was also working on with Cassidy´s leatherjacket but I never had enough time to finish my work. Everything else is done except pistol, rifle and some death animations. BTW is mirror trick used on x'il's work?

But anyway it is nice to see that Cassidy´s leather jacket is finally done. Since it is almost two years when fallout ranger firstly started making Cassidy´s leather jacket and then mysteriously disappeared.
