Obsidian?

Looking back at Fallout 2 or NV, is there anything Chris would have wanted to do differently? Regarding anything in the games from characters, factions, quests, etc.
Hey, welcome to NMA! Also known as the Glittering Gems of Hatred! Good question, but as Ragemage said, direct the questions to the other thread!

As well as Chris Avellone, could we one day get an interview with either Josh Sawyer and/or Tim Cain?

That's if the CA interview goes down well.

Really just depends on if they're as people-friendly as Mr. Avellone. Chris Avellone's a really swell guy, and I'm sure Mr. Sawyer and Mr. Cain are as well, but they might not be as open to the public as he is. Though Mr. Sawyer does have a twitter he frequently uses.

Yeah, no offense to Tim Cain, he seems more kept in.
Still, it would be pretty cool if we can get an interview with him, it'll probably be extremely hard through.

That would actually be amazing if you guys could pull it off. I know Josh Sawyer posted here a very long time ago from digging up very old threads when I used to lurk, but I have no idea if Chris Avellone ever did. I think he would be willing to do it, he seems like a nice enough guy.

Whoa! Where? How old is the thread? What forum?

That's a good question. Ugh we're all nooblets here, we need elder blood to answer these questions! I call upon the dark powers of @Crni Vuk to help us out!

Crni, has Chris Avellone ever posted on No Mutants Allowed before in any capacity?
I think he is posting sometimes on the Codex. If he ever did on NMA? Not sure. However, I think they got an interview with him once. Look at the front page of NMA. There you might find the developer interviews.

Actually that's a good point. If Mattyboy can get an interview with Chris Avellone, why can't we, the actual Fallout fanbase, get an interview with him? I bet he'd do it if we're polite.
I asked him about it on Twitter a few months back, and he said that he would do it if he had an opening. Maybe we could set up an NMA podcast account on Twitter and ask Chris when he can do it.

So I was checking out some old JESawyer posts and came across this gem.

It was in a thread from 2004 where there was a Q&A with Todd Howard and he says this.
Personally, it sums up everything wrong with Bethesda Fallout, but I'll let the Quote speak for itself.

GS: Fallout had many unique elements for an RPG, including its extensive (and iconic) perk system and darkly comic tone. Will those be present in the sequel?
TH: Oh yes. Most definitely. "Bloody Mess" is the best perk ever, where your enemies die in ultra-violent ways.

I actually kinda want to hear what JE Sawyer and Chris Avellone think of each Fallout game, both individually and compared to the series as a whole. It'd be interesting to hear what they think of both Beth's take on the franchise but also their own work.

I am pretty certain that you will hear mostly positive opinions about Bethesdas work. Anything else would be unprofessional.

He actually stressed this at Sweden Game Conference a couple of months back:
„When you are in game development, don't talk shit about anyone.”
So yes, any question about Beth (or non-Obsidian) games would be wasted, getting neutral or evasive answer at best.
