Obsidian's Project Eternity

Intriguing. Obsidian really won me back with New Vegas. I'm keeping an eye on this.
 
Yeah, the server is totally overloaded again. I hate game announcements, they slow down my important forum activities.



Hope it won't be too fantasy with magic 'n shit, as I am really not in the mood anymore for that... since years.
 
I'm placing my bet on Wheel of Time. About time if you ask me. Obsidian needs a hot new IP.
 
I haven't read the Wheel of Time, but based on my very brief research, please don't be the Wheel of Time. The premise doesn't sound bad, but I'm with Lexx.
An original IP would be great, in my opinion, especially since Alpha Protocol has been the only one from Obsidian so far. It's too bad that creating your own game universe is a riskier move, financially speaking.
 
BN, do you actually know what it is? or at least know more than the rest of us? or are you just acting like you do? :wink:

anyway, I've been waiting on something new and big from Obsidian. bring it on. I don't care if it's fantasy, sci-fi or whatever, as long as it's an rpg.

as for WoT, it's not your typical fantasy setting. magic use is pretty low-key and there are no elves and orcs. everyone is more or less human. at least in the 9 or so books I read.

I do. And I'm excited about it, think fans of RPGs in general will be. But I know it's a bit annoying when I'm saying that and can't say more. Luckily it shouldn't take too long before we hit the official announcement.
 
Does Brother None work for Obsidion or something? He sure hints like he does. How else would he have info that nobody else does. o.o

Eír Glanfath - you are out of luck, i was also hoping for something non-fantasy, but it should be good anyway, it's Obsidian.
 
I am with Lexx too, please no more High Fantasy, I have been sick of that for years. But, still good news that Obsidian is making a new game.
 
What's wrong with another good fantasy RPG? You know, so long as it's not cliche and stupid.
