OOC->Chapter 2: Lone Wanderers

Thanks. It was a team effort, really.

And btw, I think you should start paying us royalties if you're going to read Chapter One. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

.....................

Seriously.

plot developments

Jacen, Wraith and OrisGod- I hope that you will be joining us soon. Let me know if you need an opening or what kind of opening you need. The next chapter will probably be an "on the road" episode.

Fang- hope to be hearing from you soon as I think Chapter 3 is coming soon.

Rogue- nice resolution with the "what happened to Fang and the Ghouls question." I think that opens up the most opportunities.

Caleb and Gabriel- you two are going to need to come to some understanding I reckon.

Skik/ Atriedes- I am assuming Skik will follow the group out of town, ya?

Ok as for plot progress. I think we need to blow this town and get moving soon. I mean how many slavers can you kill? I think if we keep this to running around the sewars and killing slavers then the story will get a bit bland. Plus there are more interesting stories waiting to be discovered.

We have a couple of side plots going on that might be resolved and need to bring a few characters together.

I think as soon as we get everyone together, resolve or flee the slavers, resolve side plots and then get moving, its time to start chapter 3, to go where ever we need to go.

What are your thoughts?

I agree with getting out of the sewers and moving the plot along. Its been good and all for getting the characters back to gether and introducing some new ones but once we get out of the sewers the plots can start moving again.

Rogue and Skik

I don't want you two feeling left out since I have removed you from the Deathclaw trap that Caleb, Gabriel and Grim are in.

There will be plenty of Deathclaw left for both of you.

However, both your characters need to resolve the doctor issue. Yacob, the npc, can lead Rogue to Ibis, a doctor by default. Skik might be able to bring back Wally or even Fang. But these side quests should have their own dangers. In the end your characters will probably be the cavalery that saves the day.

Hope this works for you.

Dont worry...i believe we could have our own problems.
I just read your last post. hehe...you guys are in some deep crap there people.

*Pulls up a seat and a big box of popcorn*

YeeeeHaaaa, this should be one hell of a fight!

Welsh, you're doing a great job of portraying Gabriel :) . Cool and calm - I don't want the young hot-head image taken too far.

Sorry I didn't post today during this rash of IC posts, no-one had posted for ages while I was in during the day. All this action seems o have taken place since I went to the pub, sorry.

I didn't mean to make Gabriel seem so pushy. I was trying to emphasise his desire to escape the sewer quickly. Just goes to show me that it's how the characters take my comments, not the players who are detatched from the situation.

I will try to post soon, but it is quite late now - 20 past midnight.

By the way, I thought I should maybe add something about Gabriel's night vision, so that you don't get annoyed about me referring to it being great all the time.

He has sprecially trained his already naturally good nightvision to preternatural levels. Think Riddick (Vin Diesel in Pitch Black) but not nearly that good), however the sensitivity to normal light is still there.

This is because of his specialist profession and was achieved thrugh long exposure to minimal light, forcing his pupils to expand (According to some research, people with blue eyes tend to have better nightvision because they have more of either rods or cones in their eyes, I can't remember which but it is the one that controls definition rather than colour.)

I know this sounds a tad superheroish but I won't play this up all the time, it just means low light conditions are not a real obstacle to him (bright light is his major weakness).

Welsh, I won't mind though, if Grim uses the flare, even though it would temporarly blind Gabriel. It would be a good IC chance to demonstate his photosensitivity.

I'm sorry  , but I won't be able to, at least not a the moment, because I don't have a PC. I will have one some time in the future, but not on short notice, and it's not like they'll let me write at work :? .

Just a quick message for people. I PMed Gunslinger about this but I guess you should know as well.

If you write a fort scene before I do, you should take note that Gabriel has grabbed an old Thompson rifle from the armoury.

Its a military model, like they used in the US army in WW2- a 30 round clip, not the gangster style drum magazine version.

Just a detail - Gunslinger and I were discussing what Gabe should pick, based on a balance between effectiveness and realism. I think old military surplus stuff fits that pretty well.

Sorry about not replying lately, guys. As I've stated, I'm awfully sick. I spent most of yesterday at the doctors. Right now, I'm on antibiotic therapy (two pills a day for a week). Yeah, I'm drowning out this bastard with pills and chicken soup. Most of the time I'm feeling lethargic and dazed, you know? So I'll try posting at least once today since we still have some unfinished buisness.

- A Very Sick Gunslinger

Oh shit. Now I feel really bad. I just bad mouthed Gunslinger (OOC post in the IC thread) about his sloppy attention to detail, following the action in my post inaccurately.

Real sorry. I forgot you were ill. I hope you don't take it personally.

Get well soon, er, buddy.

Poor Gunslinger and a word from Fang

Hey Gunslinger-
You and Odin down. Jeez what is the world coming too. Hope you get better and that they give you the really GOOOD drugs.

Oh and here is a message from Fang

Subject: Re: Hey Fang
Yeah, I've been away at Gen Con for the past four days (as explained on the general forum) and haven't been able to post in that time. Will do soon hopefully; and thanks for being so patient

Hopefully Fang will save the day at the Fort and we might all be back together again.

As for misreading and bad postings.

Folks, take it easy! It's not Shakespeare. It's just fucking around!

onto bigger and better things

In the hopes of keeping our plot consistent so that we don't overwrite each other, I figure its time for "What's next?"

I will probably post later today after Atriedes bring Skik and Wally back into our little world. Basically the day will be spent in healing the sick and mending the Fort for the night.

However, eventually there will have to be some plan for getting out of Deathclaw central. If you have any plans or thoughts, lets hear 'em.

Also there is the business of the last of the Slavers to work out. Rogue did a real nice job putting a bit of skin and life into the nameless hoard of wastelane swine. Well done Rogue.

There is also the business of Fantasia. Keep her or kill her?

Slavers, useful allies or future backstabbers?

Escape? Over land or through Sewars. Note that the cart would be useful for the trip to the town.

The cops? Cerebus the three headed pooch?

Either PM me or post your thoughts. And I think its great that the ICC thread is further along than the OCC one.

Hello all you beatiful people. I was hoping I might join you here and Reaper said the best route to that would be to post here and introduce myself/character. So if you guys have any ideas where he could fit in please let me know. Personally, I can easily picture Rudy in a tavern pestering seasoned vetrens to take him along on their next adventure. Suggestions are welcome (for the most part).

Name: Rudy Kafka
Age: 21

Description: A tall brown haired man with dark green eyes which are usually covered by aviator sunglasses. He is always seen wearing his light brown leather jacket, dusty blue jeans, and black combat boots. Slung over his shoulder is a dark green duffel bag in which he keeps anything he happens to find.

Personality: Rudy grew up in one of the few "Vault Cities" that actually survived. He thinks he knows everything there is to know about the waste as he learned all about the outside world by watching old holo-vids that he found inside the vault. Having seen some of the old pre-war movies and hereing tales of the few wanderers that were let into the city, he decided that his place was out in the world seeking adventure. So he grapped what he could from his fathers general store and left. Most would consider Rudy extremely nieve, and they would not be completely correct. Along side his nievity is a slightly skewed view of reality. In some ways he considers himself the same as his favorite heros of the old vids he used to watch. However this isn't always a bad thing as he shows very little fear in battle.

Items: HIdden inside his jacket is an old Glok 9mm that used to belong to his grandfather. Inside his duffel bag are all the items he's scavanged, these include a few stimpacks, a couple pistols, an SMG, some rations of food, a canteen, ammo for more guns than he has and a rocket launcher (sans rocket).

Combat: Rudy trained himself to use a gun and he's actaully become quite good, however when it comes to hand to hand and melee he has had his ass handed to him in many different bars across the waste. As for the more exotic weapons, Rudy has never even laid eyes on an energy weapon

Present postings

Well, you could do either four things.

(1) You could wait and come in through the back door with Skik and the ghouls. Explaining the connection between you and the ghouls might be tricking and your boots stink of shit.

(2) Somehow you got caught up with this gang of slavers. In which case no one will ever trust you or even like you.

(3) You came in on the "rescue wagon". There is an unknown caravan guard and that might as well be you.

(4) You could hold off until chapter 3 gets kicking and off we go.

If you decide to jump into the post now, please read the old posts (and I know there is a lot of them) and even perhaps Chapter 1 (which is really huge) to get the back story, characters, style, scene, etc.

As posted earlier, this is more like a coopoerative novel than role playing game. ANyway, have fun and the others will help you along.
