Persona 5

Bump, one thing that I despised recently in Persona 5 are the dlcs. There are expensive, add little to the game and even lock out certain skillcards, you cannot get in vanilla.

Currently on my 3th run, hopefully I will get the few achievements I am missing. Futaba's voice lines is the worst.

EDIT: I have got an idea for a superboss once you beat the twins.

Lawenza! She would work like this:
1.Heals when below 50% hp (once) and has got enduring soul.
2.No turn or time limit.
3.Will use 10 different personas, who drain everything except one element, which deals normal damage. Takes reduced damage from allmighty.
4.Uses status effects.

There, what do you think?

Yeah those DLC are kinda lame, I like the costumes but they shouldn't be 3 dollars a pop and I would much rather have story DLC.

Yeah... Persona 5's DLCs aren't the best. The only costume DLCs I got were the ones that became free for a limited time (swimwear and butler uniforms IIRC).

Sounds similar to Margaret though your first point reminds me of DDS's Hito-Shura boss fight where he heals his party once in said boss fight.
The 10 that drains all but one is a little imbalanced on the enemy's side so I'd change that up for something else (like perhaps half damage for whatever the Persona is strong against, necessitating identification of the Persona she'd use).

On the other hand, Margaret was quite easy. Put all drains on yoshitsue and use other persona to charge and use heat riser. The only danger was 50 turn Megidoloan that required enduring soul and that's about it.

The fight with twins is basically spam hassou tobi and hope they do not crit on guns. Enduring soul and endure were completely worthless.

The alternative then is to make Lavenza like Elizabeth but that could be bad too.

Tbh, I never enjoyed fighting Elizabeth. Too many rules and mechanics to adhere to which always led to her killing me in the first turn or when I miscalculated the turn limit.

And you were reliant on luck, if she dropped below 50%, she would heal to full so you were hoping for high counter to activate on her second turn before she gets below 50%. Only then you could use armageddon to finish the fight. Demifiend was basically the same when you hoped for a sleep before Gaea Rage.

Those fights are hard due to RNG nothing more.

Still we could nerf it, so she gets less drains and. Margaret was similar, that when she used fire attack, she drained that one. I prefer crazy prepared fight over RNG. Also instaheal is bugged and doesn't always work.

Finally, I killed the final boss solo. (Almost, you need 1 teammate to stop him from healing).

My Akira had 960 hp and about 500 mana. With divine pillar + firm stance, the most damage I took was 370.

Ez, also solo bonus boss.

How about you?

Still figuring out how to make the best Persona combos and trying to fill out the Compendium.

Welp, they announced Persona 5 Royale, something like Persona 4 Golden. Meaning, an expanded version.

Unfortunately, no discount for the owners of the base version. Meaning you have to buy it second time. It's a dick move. I still will buy it though. Bollocks

Knowing myself, I'm gonna buy this day one.

Atlus knows how to get my cash...

I hope they include the costumes in he game like they did with Persona 4 Golden, because those DLC costumes for vanilla Persona 5 were ridiculously overpriced for what they were.

No Persona 5 save file transfer for us. The game comes out at october 31 st this year in Japan. 2020 rest of the world.

New trailers.

I guess this confirms YOU KNOW WHO survives in the new semester. According to an interview Akechi's S-link is no longer automatic and you will have to progress through it (or not) like with the other party members.

To think there were people claiming that Royal should have been DLC rather than a new release even when the trailers began to roll in.

I wonder if this means the climax and finale will be changed. My own little theory is that Kasumi inadvertently winds up being the one who takes the deal with Yadalbaoth or whatever new bad guy which creates the new reality where the Thieves all have ideal lives (and Akechi is somehow alive as a result).

I do doubt the people claiming Nyarlathotep is involved here.

Also for the collection of previous translated trailers (all done by Lettuce Sauce), save for the Akechi one due to the media limit:

On the new you know who
I don't know if his survival will necesarily be related to the seeming Reality warping plot line from the new semester, he still has his Traitor garb instead of his Detective prince outfit in the gameplay footage and he use Loki too. In the original game they also left his fate ambiguous (altho very likely to have been death), so if the new Palace is about giving them the ideal world they wanted wouldn't Akechi not be a traitor in that illusion? Maybe his survival will now depend on the progress of his Social Link, I would really like to use Psycho-Akechi in battle.

On the crawling chaos being involved... people have been hoping for that with every single new Persona game. People think he is involved this time because some Persona 2 demons are present for the first time in a 3D game but it could just be a reference.

Maybe Akechi is the one who is aware of the false reality and can bring it up to Joker (apparently the subs for his trailer reveal that he is aware of the reality they are in) because he supposed dead in the actual one? I'm more leaning towards a major change in that maxing out his social link allows Joker to recruit him back in and him being aware can be chalked to the Wild Card tbh though I would not be surprised at the other angle.

I do recall people wanting Nyarlahotep to resurface in a modern Persona game but I doubt they would. It would be neat if they can bring him in.

Also the other subbed trailers;

Can't wait to find out what has been changed come October. I wouldn't understand a thing but it'll be neat to try to figure it out.

Collector's edition... first preorder totally worth it.

And thus far, 15 hours in? 10/10.

Persona 5 was already great, but this one? It is somehow even better.

Grappling hook, Persona traits, modified dungeons. I regret nothing.

One of my favourite games of all time and the only 10/10 as far as I know.
