PG-13 Terminator

Public

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I just found out the newest Terminator will be rated PG-13. So it means no bloody violence, only explosions and probably not many people getting killed on the screen.

Transformers anyone?

I just found that out in this thread.
Lame.

Wasn't planning on watching it anyway, once a series hits the three mark on sequels I'm out.
Except for Rambo.
I liked Rambo III.

I don't think PG-13 means no violence. Weren't there soldiers getting impaled by robot-tentacles or something in one of the trailers or promo shots?

Is this true? Movies can do gruesome things with a PG-13, it is mostly swearing and sex that offends the people who come up with ratings.

Still dude, I think Terminator and I think R.

They didn't shoot the movie with a rating in mind, it was going to R but the those shots felt out of place, remember that The Dark Knight was PG-13 and its pretty violent.

It also had a really long "you're a retard" monologue at the end establishing the morals and themes of the movie.
That is the balance. The great equalizer.

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and some menace.

...and some menace.

Hurr, menace.

Hello Public,

Some time ago I discovered what this movie would be like.

A lot of people are going to say now that I live in the past but when I read that this will be pretty much another standard Hollywood action flick that is milking on the Terminator franchise I pretty much realized that this will not recreate the excitement of Terminator 1 or 2.
So I rather wish the Terminator franchise had ended with T2 and only lived on in computer games.

I pretty much throw it on the same pile as Fallout 3.
Producers think that quality means more mindless action or "Volume, volume, volume!".

Spoiler

Part of of the plot is that Skynet will figure out that Kyle Reese will be John Connor's dad so it captures him in order to lure John to it.

Also Skynet is now harvesting humans for stem cells in order to make better terminators with it.

How the hell stem cells will be involved in the design of a better terminator, I haven't got a clue, unless they mean they use it to clone human tissue.
Otherwise it sounds as if the writers just put it in as stem cells are a current day topic.

I really would have been happy if this franchise died at Terminator 2. Oh well.
Hollywood's a business and I don't give a shit about movies much anymore.

You guys are fucking retarded.

Stop it with this.

Fallout=actually good.

Terminator=a shitty franchise in the first place. Fun, yes. Worth anything, no.

Star Trek=shitty. Fun, yes. Good, no.

Stag: Bullshit, the first Terminator was great, and it was an excellent franchise until Terminator 3.

Terminator 3 was a good movie.

Not particularly deep, then again, the franchise isn't known for its depth.

It's not a rule.
I don't think PG-13 means no violence.

It means "some" violence at best, which will be the normal blowing up stuff without any blood or ripping of human parts. Like Transformers
"Don't worry kids, nobody will get killed on the screen".

Imagine first two Terminator movies without scenes where the Terminator cuts his skin off. PG-13 does not allow those kind of scenes.

The Dark Knight was PG-13 and its pretty violent.

But there was no blood/swearing/sex in it, and it's a Batman movie for crying out loud. It was meant to be PG-13!

It's probably because Skynet needs to clone human skill to create those terminators we knew from the first movies. So they can get to people a bit closer and hunt them down.
Rest of the world: Violence=no/Sex=yeah!

The world is not divided to USA vs The Rest Of the World.

You guys are fucking retarded.

Stop it with this.

Star Trek=shitty. Fun, yes. Good, no.

Opinion...

Everything is opinion, it's silly to think otherwise.

Look, I liked Terminator. I enjoyed it. But, as I said in the Star Trek thread, there's such a thing as pulp, and you gotta realize that. Terminator is pulp. It is disposable.

Even facts are opinions?

Dude, not everything has to be for everyone's standards or tastes. If you don't care, then don't care. Lay it off. Go watch a porn and jerk of or something.

Don't read fan forums. Go do something creative. Cure cancer.
