Picture of the collector's edition content, clothes coming ?

war never changes

I find it ironic that Bethesda is sticking with this quote.

One would think that with their penchant for reinvention they would change the quote to something that is better suited to Fallout 3.

Something like... "War... where it's always your turn."

I preordered this, and honestly your being well to harsh of the bobble head. its a fucking bubble head, they are suppose to look cheesy get over it.

Pretty much. It's a bobble-head, it's made of out of cheap plastic and poor paint. Any other kind of bobble-head is ironically even more prone to breaking and serves no purpose other than gradually deteriorating under its own weight.

Bobble-heads are bobble-heads, but it's a light addition, they should have added a few of perk pictures in bobble-head form.

Man, whenever I see this I feel like Bethesda is literally raping Fallout, trying to make use of everything it is famous for.

and then everyone would be bitching about how awful of a job beth did converting the perks from 2d to 3d and how the color schemes are all wrong because apparently they were off by half a shade.

Like someone mentioned before, it would have been cooler if they included a metal water flask instead. A '101' flask. Unless, the whole package came in the form of a red and white First Aid Kit or a rusty old Super Tool Kit.

DVD graphic looks cool.

I love how this "everyone" gets a reputation for bitching whether they bitch or not.

I'll admit it, I want that CE for the bobblehead and the lunchbox. Then again, I'm a collectors edition whore- I own the Bioshock CE and the Halo 3 Legendary Edition, I preordered the Metal Gear Solid 4 CE, and I'm contemplating getting the Soulcalibur IV collectors edition.

Agreed. I foresee Fallout 3 Christmas tree ornaments and Taco Bell scratch-off games in the future.

I can totally see your point - offering Fallout-themed shwag with a Fallout 3 collector's edition package is literally like rape.

Nope. The bitching and hate stems from the fact that Bethesda seems to be absolutely clueless when it comes to recreating Fallout (All of the interviews and previews reinforce this idea as well).

They're attempting to make a sequel to one of the best RPGs around, which comes with VERY high expectations from the fans. When the fans find out that the sequel is some Post-Apocalyptic-Turn-Based-Oblivion-With-Guns mutation that doesn't resemble the series in the slightest; you can't expect hugs and kisses from the fans.

Even if you can forgive the above; the game looks sloppy and not fun in the least.

Monsieur Bumble that T Shirt thingy is from my blog, not from theirs. It's a document from February, that someone pointed out to me, and probably nothing will come out of it, I just found cool the idea of having clothes with that saying.

Ooops sorry...completely messed up between both blogs. Don't know why...Will fix that immediately.

Honnestly, I don't like them doing "cheesy" merchandising with a licence they obviously don't seem to quite understand.

I really like the lunchbox, but i dont like that it has the beth art on the front.

That woman is just so damn ugly.

The bobblehead just looks, wrong. But the rest is all fairly attractive, hell if they stuck the original artwork on the box instead of the ugly stick one, id buy it for that (sad).

Well, I'll have to check this out...

But first I need to know a lot more about how good or bad Fallout 3 will be.
At least I need to see what they have to show at E3 this year, and read the reviews after that.

Yes, because since almost a year ago all the news are more of the same old ...

Fixed.

Btw, Von Drunky, no one here is saying that you can't enjoy the bobblehead. Knock yourself out. I think it looks like a cheap piece of shit, even by bobblehead standards. The rest is cool, though.

Don't think it's Bethesda's doing, though, since it actually looks quite decent. I wonder if they know about it. Hehe.

Looks like shit

Also illegal bootlegs are illegal.
