Political Spergatory or How I Learned To Love /pol

I guess what I am trying to say is it is becoming increasingly annoying to see people parroting shit they see on Youtube or read online because I read and watch all that shit too, so it does not make you insightful to talk about it (not pointing fingers) since everyone has access to this low effort information being shoved down your throats to change your point of view. TAX THE RICH! Nothing new there. You mean the guy that owns the company does not clean the toilet? Gee whiz I would have never thought.

What is the solution then?

———————————————-
Also, why is my response so buggy? not quoting parts and then quoting other tried editing but its still bugged. The quote end is there but just doesn’t register?!?!?!? ANNOYING

The solution is all these whiners get fired and they hire robots.

Your response is buggy because some retard put a spoiler tag in.

What is the solution then?
Everyone should pull their own weight—or make themselves valuable enough to others that —they— will gladly (or begrudgingly) pull it for them.

Bill Gates stated that the secret to survival is making everyone else need you.

But ideally, contribute at least as much as you get.

I put the spoiler in to limit the amount of crap on the screen at one time okay?!?! :aiee:

And so this ideal negates the need for taxes? Or shows that they are a bad thing? I don’t see how these are related.

It's just funny because I know for a fact most people talking about this shit hardly pay taxes.

What is actual work? How can one compare thoeretical—work to manual labor?
Interesting question but I personaly believe this is a question of philosophical nature. In our society work is often defined by what you do for your salary and thus how much you earn per hour. And there you can look at how much a "billionaire" gets per hour. And then ask your self, can he really work that much? It highlights how absurd our general idea of work and labour has become because there is no way an ordinary person could in their life work so much that they reach the hourly rate of a billionaire. What I am trying to say here is that the "regular" metrics we employ here simply doesn't work on billionairs and thus the idea that they "work" for their fortune or wealth is kinda skewed to begin with.

I think more important is what ever if we think the work of someone like Bezos or Musk is more worth than those of the 300+ Million of citizens out there. And If everyone should actually aspire to follow the footsteps of those billionairs. I believe if everyone actually did that we would be living in a creatively, culturally and technology bancrupt wasteland baren of all the things that actually make societies what they are.

Because at the end of the day you need the millions of janitors, vendors, hospital workers and engineers out there a lot more than the handfull of billionairs like Musk or Bezos. If the current pandemic tought us one thing than that - I hope. Because as nice as Tesla cars, Space rockets and ordering something on Amazon is (even if we assume those people developed it all on their own) when the shit hits the fan you need someone standing next to your bed pushing that tube down your throat so you you can fucking breathe and that it is a really good thing that some people are willing to aspire to do that. And that there are countless of workers in all kinds of positions that make it possible for intensive care nurses to do their job.

It's just funny because I know for a fact most people talking about this shit hardly pay taxes.
In Germany everyone pays taxes the moment they buy something as we have A value-added tax (VAT), known in some countries as a goods and services tax (GST).

Sure and I bet your thirty thousand duseldorfs a year really contribute.

Ah... a tax solution; that wasn't my intent.

There is no tax solution. People who do next to nothing innovative pay a next to nothing tax bill [relatively speaking]. Those who actually do nothing get paid in taxes. Those who start buisinesses, or improve their house get higher taxes. Those with billions to burn probably do pay someone to game the system for them. :(

Not when it pays for their food and light bills.

Different jobs pay different amounts depending upon actual needs.

Electricians were getting $3000 a pole to put up temporary meters after Hurricane Katrina; while other (equally capable or even more so) were paid a few hundred for the exact same work elsewhere.

People are paid what it's worth to the customer to pay them. In the case of employers... they are the worker's customer; they buy the work.

Oh…
I don’t really know what we’re talking about then. Anything can be misused and have issues, tax systems included, but they are still valuable and not theft is what I am saying.

The IRS is more concerned with going after political enemies that actually investigating anything of relevance.

Do I think a percentage of income taken out for tax is fair?
Yes.
Should it be a progressive tax like what we used to have?
Yes.
That being said, income tax tax wont affect billionaires much since so many of them are the 1$1 salary thing lmao. Gonna need to use sales taxes and capital gains taxes. Apparently wealth taxes are insane to determine since gauging the value of various items and assets can be up for debate so that also wont do.

Lets hear what you all think about this guys rhetoric.

Tucker is a handsome young man. Grandma likes him.
