Poll: Could they make you come back?

Could Bethesda could do something to make you play Fallout 4

One of the sad parts is that even if they do develop a similar IP, people will think Obsidian were the ones to rip-off Fallout. The comparison in general when people refer their friends to Obsidian's new game would be "it's like Fallout". Kind of upsetting yet ironic.
Yes... sadly they would get that comparison. It's funny how Fallout was a rip off from Wasteland that became very independent.

I voted yes because Bethesda could do something to make me play more FO4:
  • They could give the source code to some other company (like Obsidian) and then give them all the freedom to do and add and modify everything that company wanted to make a real RPG out of Fallout 4.
I know, I know  but that would definitely make me come back :lmao:.

I find it hard to believe that Bethesda is one of the worst companies in existence.
They aren't one of the worst companies in existence, that would infer that there's something uniquely bad about them which isn't the case. There's nothing whatsoever that sets them apart from any other two-bit company that's content to purvey lazy schlock if it keeps them afloat. They're practically the definition of mediocre.

No, I don't want to play this game ever again.
Other people have already stated the reasons why. (voiced protagonist, limited to none role playing, focus on shooting, bad campaign)
To much problems that not even modders can fix.

They could, but if I have to download more than ten mods just to make the game playable, I would rather just stick to games I enjoy.

People say "New Vegas was awesome with mods" but the thing is New Vegas was also awesome without mods, and I can't really say the same for Fallout 4.

I'm packing so many mods on New Vegas, but it's fun that's for sure!

Yeah, vanilla Fallout New Vegas, for all its faults, still holds up after half a decade. Can't say the same for a lot of other games I've played. Modded Vegas, all fixed up and improved upon, is basically a masterpiece.

I just thought of something...
Let's say that their Montreal studio works on a Fallout game... It wouldn't have Todd as lead... And it wouldn't have Emil as the head writer...
Soooo...
What if Montreal studios actually hires good developers and they actually create a good first person RPG?

Hard to say, could be better. Emil doesn't actually write, he just puts old ideas in a blender, mashes them up in a linear unfun way. I would think that Zeni and Beth would still be remotely 'in charge' and it would still be garbage.

Not holding my breath. Far as I know, little to no information exists about the Montreal studio aside from the fact that some guy called Yves Lachance will be directing it.

Yves Lachance sounds like the new Emil Pagliarulo, besides, do you honestly think Todd and friends would let somebody who isn't a sycophant lead Montreal?

I have said this somewhere else around NMA but I can't find it (didn't really look to be honest) so I will just say it again:

I think the Montreal studio will focus on console and mobile game development because of what is said in the bethsoft.com news section posted at the end of last year:

Bethesda Game Studios Montreal has already established a core team of more than 40 developers, spanning both console and mobile development. The studio will be managed by industry veteran Yves Lachance as Studio Director.

Can't wait for their next game with an all star lineup like that. I don't know though, with big daddy Zenimax pushing for more cash I just see the Montreal studio doing more. I mean how long can BGS keep up that 1 game every 5 years crap when other..um awesome developers like EA and Ubisoft can put out "quality" every year.

Yves sure has a lot of Disney game credits, I'm calling it now FO5 will have talking animals and Elton John on the radio.
