Pro life or Pro choice

But you do know who Paul Joseph Watson is, right?
Is he connected to info wars or something? Even if he is, its irrelevant, because in that video he didn't mention anything about poverty being their own fault.
Anyway, it is, because of the way they squander foreign aid and how crappy their leaders are. India is a good example, with its caste system. India could alleviate itself out of poverty totally, but it chooses not to.

He's a long time writer and editor for Infowars and Alex Jones' Prison Planet. Do not trust him blindly on anything, there will always be massive amounts of lies and bias in everything.

It's not, but where does it stop? One can argue that babies won't feel anything if you kill them with poisons.
When it's animate.

Yes I do.
Socialism is much more of a social conscience, health care, the poor, the elderly, the sick, emergency services, progressive views on gender and sexuality are all things I think should be seen to.

Capitalism I find is the absence of that, after a certain age, you're considered no longer of any use and the state pretty much wants you dead, same with the disabled.

Selling off things like the NHS and the police to private companies leading them to have their money cut.

Crime being tackled in a rather inhuman way, I'm completely against things like the death penalty and just sticking people in a cell to rot in their own shit, especially for minor offences.

The whole idea from right wing idealogies that our country is better than yours because of... Borders?

I could go on, but does a socially fair world where everyone has equal opportunities and where everyone is looked after sound like the spread of misery?
Just saying, we constantly see the inherent problems of capitalism, which are legion. But we also cannot deny one thing : in 1950, one person out of two was in extreme poverty. Today, as the world has basically turned into a capitalist society, it's one person out of forty.
Mainly because of international businesses, third world countries welcoming banking services for the first time in history, and the delocalisation of big industries to cheaper countries, where they provide wealth. From 1990 to 2012, the number of the world's extreme poor was cut in fucking half. That's the first significant global decline in extreme poverty in the whole humankind's history. When they calculate this, they're not just counting income, they account for total living conditions -- infrastructure, schools, access to clean water, everything. A billion people have that stuff for the first time, and nobody talks about it.
Literacy is at an all times high because of that. Renewable energies only exist because some billionaires have seen its potential and have started betting on it (sure, for their own profit. But in the end, who cares? As long as renewables energies are developped, who gives a damn about the personal motivations?). The Tesla car, which could save a shitload of people from pollution (and break a mafia system held by a few assholes), would have never existed if the guy didn't make billions with Paypal, an online, private banking service.

Now, don't get me wrong, capitalism has many problems. Creates new ones. Takes the bet of virtually giving people full responsibility over their financial lives (which can be problematic if you are different, or born without a set of profitable skills) and it clearly weakens the state which was supposed to ensure that, with all the consequences you can imagine. But it also made us richer, more educated and more peaceful.
I consider myself a "moral socialist". I want a world in which people are equal in opportunities, where you don't have to fear for your life for no reason, where you can take some time for yourself, and where charity is a social norm, not an exception. Where women are sexually free and can enjoy nudist beaches without assholes complaining. Capitalism cannot create this world because it often relies on cultural mediocrity, but it can help us getting there.

OK. I dont trust him blindly at all. Some of his videos are total piles of shit. I thought the capitalism one was good though.

Now I know why @MutantScalper got irritated at me.

Oh yea why is that?

Btw, I treat all the "shecundh amendhmundht" - folks similarly, by offering facts and general disdain. If there's something about you that annoys me it's "Joined: Jul 31, 2016" because with new folks, they haven't yet earned their stripes and yet prance around like they're jesus or something.

I'm just idealistic and a bit too opinionated for my own good. It's not like this is my first time on a forum or anything. I promise I'm usually well-behaved.

Oh yea, just bring all the troll dregs from the net to NMA gen discussion, just funnel them all here and make them behave like squirrels on meth. Not like there's standards here or something.

Ugh really? Please keep that kind of elitism in the Order. Just because you're new doesn't make you worthless.

There has been a recent influx of people who appeared to have just joined to smear their political opinions all over NMA. That political opinion being mostly racism and idiocy. Beware the noob, the shitposter, and the teenager with ultraconservative convictions.

You know, I'll like that because it's funny.

One, we were all noobs once so...

Two, shitposting is not shitposting when the thread is shit.

Three, umm... yeah sure.

Seriously though, I'm sceptical of anyone who just finished school but keeps on ranting about how poor people should be all turned into biofuel* and how hard work can always fix everything.

*Disclaimer: Yes, this is hyperbole. No, nobody ever said that. Fuck off.

Honestly the idea of hard work makes you rich, just seems taken straight out of a 50's commercial, with the American Dream!

Yeah, a lot of teenagers are gobbling it up right now. I guess it's sort of a counter movement to the slightly older folks (mid-20's) who are the polar opposite and think that without 100% pampering nothing can be done, ever.
I just don't know anymore. It's getting hard to distinguish between the loud people on the Internet and how it's actually going on in the real world.

And I guess it's true for all generations. Everyone thinks they're better than everyone else. I'm so tired of this shit.
