Putting an NMA bar in Wasteland 2 (goal reached!)

Nearly? We already overshot our goal. Our current amount is at 1160 of a required 1000. About 1100 factoring in Paypal's thieving fingers. So yeah, no more donations are needed! Welcome, and they'll still go to WL2, but we might close the widget soon.

Addendum: UPDATE!

The widgit will be up just a little longer since we've been asked to delay the donation for a while anyway.

Brian Fargo said he's fine with the idea of naming the bar No Mutants Allowed and then putting a clipboard in it with "tabs left open" listing our own pledgers and their names/amounts. I will send out a mass email about this to our pledgers once the Chipin closes. I will use the Paypal-tied-in email for that so PM me if it's not the one you use.

Chipin drive is at $1055 as of right now. $150 had already been donated to our paypal for this goal before the Chipin drive started. So we're at 1305 (excluding Paypal fees). Well over.

There should be another update today. I encouraged him to do more frequent updates, WL2 Kickstarter compares poorly to DF in this regard, and that does impact the drive.

I agree. They really need to give us more info about this whole shindig otherwise some people will lose interest.

Awesome! I know I personally didn't donate much to the NMA bar, but I'm getting back on my feet after being out of a job for over half a year. x.x

When you talk about the open tab-list, is the idea to use our NMA forum names, real names, or whatever you want? I don't care, but I was wondering if this was decided upon or if it even mattered.

I'll send out an email asking for what name to use. I think real names would work better than forum handles. We might have to rejigger some names too if they're too obviously foreign and thus stick out like a sore thumb.

I concur.

Some nicknames or real names can probably be used as is or slightly modified. Whichever suits the setting best.

The last thing you'd want is to break immersion.

Reserve one name for the top donator and put the rest in rotation. Good idea! So say I!

Awesome idea, lets all the donors get their names in while keeping the length in check. Too bad there's no system for giving kudos on this forum, or you'd totally get one.

Congrats on this guys! I didn't donate (sadly, Tim Schafer took all my money) but this is beyond neat.

Congrats to "The Order" as well.

It sure feels nice to have game that I really enjoy (ie: turn based strategy, point/click adventures, old school cRPG's, etc) finding a new life under kickstarter.
