Here it is folks. A return to the classic zombie formula. I am looking forward to Leon and Chris kicking some zombie ass. Here are a few tidbits of info I gathered from around the web....

From Kobayashi, we learn that Resident Evil 6 is not only “the most ambitious game in the series,” but is actually “the largest-scale production Capcom has ever embarked on.” Producer Hirabayashi, meanwhile, promises that Resident Evil 6 will offer a “larger world” and a “deeper experience” than any previous game in the series.

Perhaps the most exciting prospect is that Resident Evil 6 might support six player co-op and eight player competitive matches. In United States - the President is about to come clean over bioterrorism when he himself mutates into a zombie. Later, Leon is informed by Hunnigan that a town has been overrun, some 70,000 people.

Chris Redfield and the BSAA are in a war-torn China. Chris is seen arguing with a teammember about an unidentified woman responsible for the deaths of many BSAA agents. It is also known that there are bioterrorist attacks taking place at random all over the world.

The ability to dual-wield certain weapons is being implemented by Capcom, as evident by Leon holding two handguns in the January announcement trailer. Ada Wong is also said to be returning, but we were not told in what capacity

There is debate on if the blonde girl is Ashley or Sherry.

Post any rumors, info, videos, or pics you find about RE6 here. I am looking forward to this game a lot, so I hope it doesn't let me down. The past two games were pretty good though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I could do a monologue about how Resident Evil has been one of my favorite series since the 90s, or that I've beaten most of them, to include survivor. Or how this new one will consume 1000s of hours of my future, but I don't feel like it right now

I think Ada is the "Bitch" Chris is arguing about with the other BSSA guy, she was the one that stole the Plagas in RE4, she was nowhere to be found in RE5 and by that time all of Umbrella's viruses and experiments have been on the black market for years, maybe Ada didn't just give the Plagas to Wesker but to the best Buyer?
The woman in that Pic I think is a new Character, or the woman from the CGI movie.

I think they are closing up a lot of plot lines. It makes sense for Ada to be involved with Leon. I am curious who Chris will encounter since Wesker might not be around. I definitely don't want to see Wesker either, so I hope they don't throw him in there. I am glad they are moving beyond the plagas virus because I didn't care for it that much. Here are a few things I want to see:


Make it a little scary at least. The past two games were a let down in this regard. I would like more of the game to take place at night. Fighting in broad daylight is not scary.

Maybe mention a few RE characters that have been unheard from. I would like to know what happened to Billy after RE 0, and Rebecca after the mansion incident. I would also like to see Claire again. What about Barry Burton? Cmon guys! Give me one scene with Barry and I will be happy. What about Carlos?

More variety of weapons. I would like to see more melee weapons. What about a axe, or a baseball bat? I think they would be more effective than a combat knife. No swords though. That would be silly.

I would like another weapon merchant like in RE4. I don't care who he is, but I want one.

I can't wait for Operation Raccoon City! I am also planning to get Resident Evil Revelations, to fill out my collection. They have a few good RE games coming out soon, but I hope they don't over-saturate the market too much. A new movie is coming out too, so RE may get too much overexposure.

The guy Chris is talking about in the trailer is a character named Beards Nevence. He's also appeared in the Wildstorm Comics series.

New character on the right in the foreground. Her name is Helena Harper, and the scuttlebutt is that she's Leon's partner, possibly connected through the Secret Service. Some of the quotes in the trailer are from her, quite likely connected to failing to save the President.

It's the person far in the background in Red that folks think is Ada, though it's hard to tell for sure.

Lol, "might"? I know that ressurrections in fiction are a dime a dozen but Capcom would have reeeeeeally to come up with some absurdity to bring him back after his defeat in RE5.

HUNK or Ada could be the main villians.

In fact, it will be interesting to see how they resolve Leon and Ada. Since the Leon B ending of RE2 is the series canon, Ada didn't do all that fucked up shit like holding Leon at gunpoint until later. At this point, either Ada will redeem herself or get whacked (maybe both).

I think it would be badass if Sherry came back as an adult, believe it or not, she was an older woman when I first met her.

The sad part is, you know they will probably be retiring a lot of our main characters. CAPCOM has expressed the desire to series reboot before.

Some of the more "out there" theories suggest that HUNK is in fact, the real Wesker, and the Wesker we've seen throughout the other games is his clone.

Hmmm... Yeah, I could see Capcom doing something like that and that's why I lost interest in the series after RE:CV. The story became a ridicolous convoluted mess after that game.

I doubt it, as I said in the other thread Wesker is dead and Capcom confirmed it, hopefully meaning that they mean for him to say like Uncle Ben.

I played the Demo on my Nephew's 3DS (I don't have one myself) and It looked like a pretty good game, good Atmosphere and it seems ammo wont be plentifull.

There is one question I immediately want to ask, does it come with yet another partner system?

I may be buying it soon, so I will let you know how good it is. From the reviews I read it is a good game, but some of the partners dialog is ridiculous. Apparently their voices are pretty annoying, so it reminds me of CV a bit. Revelations is supposed to be a lot more scary than the more recent titles. There is an embarrassing typo on the box though. They are supposed to be fixing it, but that is pretty sloppy shit Capcom.

I'm guessing RE6 will have a partner system as well? The trailer shows it for the "special blood" guy and sort of for Leon.

Not that I mind it, my first playthrough of RE5 it didn't bother me, I thought it added more of a challenge to the game, since I only played singleplayer.
