Paladin Danse sounds like Buzz Lightyear and his dialogue makes me think he has some kind of brain damage. So basically he's a mentally challenged Buzz Lightyear.
I leave him in the Prydwen Brotherhood of Steal base/airship and he just walks around the bar talking to himself about how great the Brotherhood is. I don't think he has any friends...

"Can we solve the railroad problem peacefully?" No.We are scientists that can extend the human life by 100some of years but can't cure a cancer (!?) Make exact copies of a human but we can't peacefully reason with 10 people living in the sewers.
Hm, I'm pretty sure he was wearing his helmet when I did this mission. He even had a fancy helmet-swirl animation when he put it on at the start of the mission.

So I was doing the Silver Shroud quest. It directed me to talk to Hancock the Ghoul to proceed, now by this point I had received his dialogue forhim to join me as a companion days prior (I think that was a bug as it happened without me even doing a single Good Neighbour quest beforehad and I have seen Youtubers only get the option after completing the Silver Shroud quest). Now I am sent to talk to him but he will only display the 4 dialogue choices all dismissed companions have (Great system Bethesda..... fucking idiots) so I am forced to recruit him and dismiss Piper (I was trying to up Piper's relantionship meter just to check how the relationship system works for the review) so I have to basically act quickly.... too bad he has to give a speech before joining me, he then joins me and I can finally proceed with the Silver SHroud quest.... he gives me the dialogue in a very buggy way, it basically triggered itself after recruiting him.... then I dismiss him, send him to the Red Rocket Gas station and I haul ass to re-recruit Piper before she vanishes through a door.
I complete the Silver Shroud quest like normal and it tells me to talk to Hancock again.... I open the map to fast travel to Red Rocket but it shows me that his quest marker is on another location a few meters away. I fast travel to Red Rocket and walk towards the quest marker where Hancock is.... too bad the Quest Marker is UNDER-FUCKING-GROUND. So I have to use tfc on the console commands and "move to player" Hancock to proceed the quest, and again it involves me Dismissing Piper, Hiring him, reporting to him and dismissing him again so I can re-recruit Piper again.....
Danse is a Synth, that's why he survives the rocket engine. And I am being serious here, he is a Synth that's what the "Blind Betrayal" quest is about.
