Robot sex, achievement, shots

I don't think the Enclave will necessarily be in it. It could be an old suit of APA from the time of Fallout 2. Beth never really explained why the Enclave ditched the classic APA and I'd assume if they were in New Vegas they'd use the F3 version.

Wow, sexy, sexy enclave power armor.

Yeah, there'll probably be Enclave "remnants". Not entirely unlike that a bunch of Enclave troopers just moved on a (very) little north-eastward. I hope to the powers that be that they are remnants from FO2 and know absolutely NOTHING about FO3's Enclave and president DeLarge and purifier.

Also this can be stupid logic, but that armor has a pristine Enclave emblem, you would think people would tend to scratch that out of their stolen/found armor unless they are actually Enclave. Beh, probably people wouldn't care a shit about that (both ingame and Obsidian in real world).

Most likely it is Arcade Gannon's. From the looks of it, as we reveal the past of our companions through their questline, they get gear relating to that past. Raul is a former gunslinger, hence the Vaquero outfit. Gannon is former Enclave, hence the rusted out APA.

Sounds legit. Although in Van Buren, Arcade Gannon got a enclave combat armor and not a power armor.

Oh god that Vaquero Outfit looks ridiculous.
Ridiculously goofy or ridiculously awesome?
Both. :D

but could you explain why?
I think it's mainly the hat that makes me think that.
Well he is supposed to be Mexican....Right?

He has to be.

Stop stealing my name.

Robot sex sounds cheap, so I hope it's only an isolated case of such a profound form of humour.

Damn, getting kind of excited with the latest batch of news.

I had no idea Raul had the Danny Trejo/bandito thing going on. I thought he was going to be a boring-ass mechanic (not that mechanics are fundamentally boring-ass, but think of FO3's...). He's in the running now for my companion.

I must shamefully admit that I found the Fisto quotes pretty hilarious. Sorta reminds me of the ballgag you get when losing armwrestling to that Mutant in Broken Hills.

But yeah, it's certainly also a case in point that this game will likely take on more of the Fallout 2 style rather than Fallout 1 (if there was any doubt at this point).

Hope they'll improve the APA, looks pretty shoddy right now.It needs to be more bulky and round. I won't nitpick on the colour though, since it's probably half-eaten by the desert sand - remeber the drill seargant in Navarro? His armor looked pretty much the same.

Zombie cowboys.

Zombie.

Fucking.

Cowboys.

Do you know how badass that is? (Okay even I think it's a bit much for Fallout, but still)

And voiced by Danny Trejo. It can't get more badass than that.

Considering the clipping issues the armor already has now, making it bulkier and decently looking is probably an impossible task.

I really detest the wet, plastic-wrap like look bloom gives to that ant.

APA on the other hand looks way way better than previous power armor offerings. Not bulky enough but way better.

People complaining about the look of the APA, just take a closer look at the helmet. The "eyes" have some stains. Also, there's some rust here and there. So this particular set of armor must be just worn out. Though I won't be surprised if any other APA sets will look the same. I even would be pleased with it.
I think there's a bit of truth in this factions review about the Enclave: it must be mostly destroyed and you will meet only few remnants. And this nicely fits with the fact the armor is not shiny clean and new.

Yeah, I agree with 13pm. I don't get why people are complaining that the APA isn't shiny and new. Hell, I'm glad, the wear and tear on the armor gives the impression that the Enclave is pretty much done, gone, as it should be. No big organization to upkeep the equipment. The armor could have be scavenged by some wastelander, or perhaps there are a few Enclave remnants wandering around (maybe even a few encounters that joke at Fallout 3's Enclave, much in the same vein as the random Brotherhood of Steel encounters in Fallout 2).

The look of the armor is good, (yeah yeah, needs to be bulkier, blah blah) but it gives the impression that the Enclave is not going to be like Fallout 3's Enclave, and that is a good thing.

I am not complaining that it doesn't look shiny and new, but that it also doesn't looks like it is made out of high-tech material.

Fuck yeah, proper APA!
I'm beginning to think that I might like New Vegas :D

Yeah, the Mk. I's are metal-ceramic composites while the Mk. II's are just ceramic composites. I always figured that the metal used in the Mk. I's was titanium (like they use in Dragon Skin) so the rust doesn't make any sense... The lack of black paint is interesting, it never seemed to be there when you got portrait shots in Fallout 2 but it was definitely there on the model.

The Hermes combat armor in Van Buren was made out of advanced polycarbon, boron carbide and polythelene. It's all material that should not look like generic metal and if this is used in a combat armor, something similar or even better should be used for a power armor.
