Skyrim vs Fallout 4: Who is playing?

I'm on firefox, and have ad block. Still seeing the gif.
Next time you see something you don't like, right click on it, click on the 'adblock plus: block image' It should default to that one image then click 'add filter' poof, your eyes only need to bleed once.

I like skyrim. It's entertaining. It has it's own lore that it mostly respects, but that's why. It's a fundementally flawed game, but it's Bethesda flawing up their own game. Fallout 4 angers me because I have some expectations from the franchise, and they missed every one of them, including the genre. At least Skyrim still meets some of my expectations, even if I set them low.

I haven't touched Failout 4 since November. I still play Skyrim every once and a while. It's probably the worst TES but it still has it's charm and more importantly 5 years worth of mods to choose from. Maybe once Bethesda releases those damn modding tools Fallout 4 will go from a 2/10 to like a 4 or 5/10 like Skyrimjob did.

True, mods save games.

Sure. If stealing from Lotr/Vikings is your "own" lore. Naw, joking asside, the Elder Scrolls is its own world. But the last time Bethesda really tried something unique was with Morrowind. After that? Every new game not only looks but feels as generic as fuck. Which makes it much easier accessible, but ads to the fast boredom. I mean Skyrim has barely something that you havn't seen already a thousand times by now.

Also, all the unique lore from Skyrim? Yeah from Morrowind. All the interesting history, customs and beliefs? Morrowind! Well written and sensible history? Morrowind again!

Everything good about TES was made in Morrowind.
