Bethesda is never one much for merchandising, but apparently they're expanding their scope as Symbiote Studios announces they will be making "stylized vinyl toys based on Bethesda's award-winning franchises, including The Elder Scrolls®, Dishonored™, DOOM®, Fallout®, and QUAKE®", though the only two announced right now are a QuakeCon figurine and Dragonborn figure.<blockquote>SYMBIOTE STUDIOS TO CREATE STYLIZED VINYL TOYS BASED ON BETHESDA SOFTWORKS’ AWARD-WINNING FRANCHISES

Tucson, Arizona (August 1, 2012) Symbiote Studios LLC, a leading manufacturer and distributor of a broad range of toys and high-end collectibles, has received rights to create stylized vinyl toys based on Bethesda's award-winning franchises, including The Elder Scrolls®, Dishonored™, DOOM®, Fallout®, and QUAKE®.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with Bethesda," said Joseph Reiter, CEO of Symbiote Studios. "We will give our utmost respect and attention to crafting the characters found in their video games."

QuakeCon® 2012 attendees that ordered the QuakeCon “Swag Pack” will receive Symbiote’s first creation for Bethesda, an exclusive QuakeCon figurine. Additionally, attendees at this year’s show will be able to pre-order Symbiote’s upcoming Dragonborn™ figure, inspired by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim®. The Dragonborn figure, which will retail for $9.99, will be available this Fall.

As much as I love collectibles they know that the people who like this stuff want it so much they'll pay high to get it. That's what they'll charge too. I hope I can resist.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

I'm sorry, but Quake and Doom were not under Bethesda when they recieved their awards. Stupid way of wording things. Always taking more credit than they deserve...

I won't have any troubles with resisting it, because I don't like the style of these figurines.

The only good one on the website is the Farscape statue, but the character faces don't look like John Crichton and Aeryn Sun... also it costs 150 dollars. Nope, never worth it.

150 is really way too much. I'm hoping the prices would be more similar to ME dolls' prices, though that probably won't happen.

I like a wide variety myself. Maybe offer some $20 figures and $50 statues, along with higher priced stuff - $100 to $300 - for rich people.

Okay, just looked at the website and...

...why do they have a "Jessica Chobot" category...just.. why.

yeah, I really don't understand this Jessica Chobot craze. the "bio" under the figurine is just downright creepy. she may feel empowered and shit, but these things aren't exactly helping making women anything more than sex symbols in the gaming industry. fo shame.

on topic: their figurines suck. not interested.

Hadn't checked their website.... eh.... Bethesda should give a call to the Revoltech guys, just saying.

if we already talk about "expensive" toys. Gosh if I would have no reason to care about money ... this here would be my choice.

I could never place such a figurine in my house, because it is huge and would nowhere fit to the furnishings.

obviously if you have the needed funds for such an object the place where to store it would be the last thing to worry about.

I had to post this. Behold the $600 Galactus statue.

How about a $600 Marcus statue armed with a Minigun? People that can afford shit like this, probably don't have to worry too much about space. They usually have display cases. :D

the guy's hand in the background makes it look like Galactus' junk is hanging out.
