Talking Heads

'Gaybrow' = Vic more and more as I look at it. Sure, the TH isn't as fat as the model, but I reckon the model needs a little update too. No one wants to be seen walking around with a fat man :D

I bet xil could come up with some tech-guy body for him by just editing another model. Maybe use a SF model and recolor the shirt to white instead of blue/red.

Though we would get back to the animation problem.

These are looking very good!... how about darkening the goggles a little bit on 'mr. gaybrow' so his eyes are not so visible?

Also, i have one idea for Vic's TH - put him some pencil behind the ear, Continuum. It's technician's attribute. :)
It's not going to be well visible. I'd rather put it into some sort of pocket attached to the clothes.

He isn't fat enough then.
Is there somewhere actually stated that he must be fat? Or you're suffering from Vic is fat syndrome because you've seen fat critter all these years? :P

To me it's not that he is fat, but his iffy animations.
+ critter is shitty itself:

Office worker, taken straight out of his work, with shitty clothes, without any sign of Hey! You're playing a post-apoc game!. If you don't get what I mean then take a look at this uber sexy concept. Fallout critters generally lacking all this interesting details, but at least Fallout companions got cool clothes, in opposite to their counterparts from Fallout 2. But this isn't a surprise, I don't need to say more.

I can even alter them and add some sort of eyepiece.

Well, Vic is trader, who travels all the way between Vault City, Den, Klamath, Arroyo and maybe some other places too. I never liked idea, so the fat, slow and unarmored single man can travel with all stuff through the wastes and survived. For me, Vic may be fat, but also rough! :)

I remember if you talk to Valerie about forgiving Vic, she'll say something like "he should lose some weight".

Oh crap. We'll need to change one line of text.

But hey! We can do that without it: he could lose the weight! He's imprisoned by Metzger. Seems very logical that he's getting less food. It's not a fucking luxury hotel, right? You can put some floats when he's sitting in prison: Food! Where's food! I'm hungry! I don't want to lose the weight! I like to eat a lot! I like to be fat!, etc.

And next a quest: Stop Vic from eating too much. Player may:

- convince him (high speech skill) that eating too much isn't healthy,
- use poisoned food on him (high doctor skill) - See, what you did? Eat less, or you will die!.

And problem solved.

I personally don't care. I am not playing Fallout 2 very often. :>

These are looking awesome. Especially the one with the goggles on his forehead and the mean sonofabitch with the skull tattoo. Great work. :ok:

Thanks, alec.

Anyway, I made new, pimped version of Mr. Whip:

Lighting changed, eye tweaked, reduced amount of normal map, eyebrows and lips tweaked, totally new beard (old one was a real shite).

Well, what to say except looks cool. I would say better than before, but this also can be, because of the metal armor.

Too bad that metal armor model couldn't have been used for a talking head for Garl from FO1. I thought it would have been cool for the raider boss to have a head.

^It may seem that for every one that falls another one rises...

Nice metal armor, and the changes give it a slightly different character but still 'evil-like'.

If you're taking commentary from the peanut gallery, I'd tweak the holes on the right shoulder piece; right now, it looks more like corrosion than damage, and that doesn't really make sense unless the armor is in shit condition, and were it, the corrosion would likely include discoloration. If the holes were bigger and less frequent, it would imply damage more strongly, imo.
