The Czechs scoop the world: new Fallout 3 screenshots

Y'know, it's still better than Fallout:BoS' general Attis.

I believe that once defeated he would explode into several hostile blobs. Oh noes!

They beta-test games? Are you sure?

Every time I cranked up Oblivion I was amazed at how level and loot scaling could escape any kind of quality control...

Or dungeon guards bumping into eachother and greeting surprisedly/enthusiatically before carrying on a meaningless conversation, resuming pacing guard duty, only to repeat the whole thing 5 minutes later and so on ad nauseaum.

Or city wars that erupt over a thief stealing an apple...

etc

I just hope to god when they beta test this...

The most striking rip-off for me were elven armor and weapons, and the architecture... Obviously they found Peter Jackson's LOTR VERY inspiring indeed.

Bethesda does have a tendency to be "inspired" by other works

Ooohh! I was looking at the wrong picture.

The master must provide one hell of a dental plan

Pic 1. Shit, that's not the wasteland, that's morrowind with stupid shiny yellow HDR. Crap. The wasteland is a backed desert, but that may be because it's on the west coast. Well, fallout is on the west coast.

Pic 2. Laughable. The whole lack of understanding for what supermutants are is unbelievable. What the fuck is that? Supermutants aren't scary, I mean, Fallout is not scary for the most part. Except for the deathclaws maybe as they are quick as death. But that shit is stupid and scary (in a sense) and has nothing to do with supermutants.

Pic 3. The brahmin gives it a sense of falloutness but it's the only thing. Otherwise I'd say it was stalker... Pretty similar.

Pic 4. The perfect example of FOPOS2 in all its senses.

Brother None, I immediatly thought of the shit-demon too when I saw the giant orc looking thing.

I can't claim that reference.

My newsreport to the Codex read "enjoy the amazing poop-coloured mutant!" Calis made the connection

EDIT:

Actually, a Kotaku user makes a better reference...

I'm more curious than trying to pick problems, mostly because I don't know myself but...

1. Is Washiington D.C. and the immediate surrounded area that hilly?
2. Does the area have that much glacial sediment (boulders)?

I don't know. I was just looking at the first picture, and then my eyes focused on an area to the left of that closest tree (big one, on the right) and 'i think to myself, what a wonderful w...' EHM! It looks like a perfect cave entrance! That particular picture looks very, VERY morrowindish to begin with too.

I like the look of wastelands, maybe its so grey because this are scans, dunno. Behemoth sux much. But i don't know what think about Brahmin... though waiting for more screens.

The gray suits the DC area, just like the reddish brown suited northern California (where I live).

I don't see any significant difference in vegetation.

Funny thing, northern California looks like that pre-nuclear holocaust, so it's not really much of a change. (most of cali is a desert on the eastern border, near Nevada)
But DC is actually a gray rainy place, so the mood seems appropriate, although I wonder where all those boulders came from?

(picture for emphasis)
