The most tedious part of gun ownership for me is cleaning.

All those plastic turds always make me laugh with their 1004 teeny-tiny LEGO components made of plastic, plastique and plasticette...... and clips made of see-through, guees what, plastic.

You know Glocks and most of the new semi-auto pistols are made of plastic. :) What about a Stainless Steel 1911?

Nowadays, most of the AK-s have plastic furniture instead of wood.

Anyway, if you can, buy both an AR-15 and an AK too. Why not? 8-)

^ That is the one thing I miss about the army. Getting to shoot awesome shit like that.

Those three are legally, privately owned by an american civilian.

Yeah they gotta be pretty damn expensive though right?

You can get a decent 1919 in semi-auto 30-06 or .308 for about $2700.00 - then you need to spend another couple grand for the tripod and the accessories. It's not a poor man's hobby. But it's not outrageous the way full-auto prices are - the govt. has created a false shortage, so transferable full auto weapons demand a premium.

My latest purchase:

a Mossberg 195 KA bolt-action 12 gauge shotgun (1950-60's)

The newest addition to the Arsenal has little usefulness as a shooter, but it reminds me of the first shotgun I ever owned, handed down by my older brother and the same gun we used to hunt jackrabbits together. We hunted in the orange groves in Yorba Linda. The grower would pay a $1.00 bounty on each rabbit taken. We would make rabbit stew with the meat and sell the hides to the local western wear store. They also bought rattlesnake skins and rattles for hatbands. Didn't shoot the snakes though, a big rock was your best bet.

Winning bid on gunbroker.com = $84.00

Memories of hunting with my brother = priceless

i want to be a hippie!

a hippie with guns, hows that!

but alas, i cannot have guns here. well, i probably could, but it would require a lot of social interaction and activities, which arent really my cup of tea. from what i understand of norwegian weapons laws, in order to own a hunting weapon, you need to complete an actual hunting course - and in order to own any kind of smaller handgun, you need to join and follow up a shooting club membership. i cant even afford to upgrade my computer, so...

sob.

i really like guns tho.

i drew this on ms-paint, my own little tribute to guns-in-general:
my DeviantArt

so i guess im just a no-good hippie :(

But you can be an alcoholic in the States, which is just as good as being a pothead. lol  (Just kidding.)

Yeah well drugs are for hippies and nobody wants to be a hippie.

Speak for yourself.

I did.

I also spoke for every freedom loving defender of democracy who doesn't want to be smelly, lazy, jobless on purpose, basement dwelling, underachieving, bad music listening, non hair washing reprobate who thinks toking up in the garage is fighting the system, and with every bong hit "The Man" takes a blow to the chin.

It's is bad enough Drug users destroyed the Entertainment Industry, now they want to destroy the world.

JUST SAY NO!

also.

I <3 guns!

On the first look, that could be an incredible endemic hybrid and a miracle of nature. On the second look, it could be a......NO GOD PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
