The Guns and Ammo Thread

The handgun is .357 Magnum, not the ammo. I shot .357 mag ammo too, but I didn't feel any difference. Sounds the same, the recoil is the same.
If the felt recoil of your magnum rounds is the same as your .38spl, you need to stop shooting crap ammo.

I had no target. I shot around that orange or red thing. These were the very first shots. I wanted to test the cylinder (because Taurus revolvers sometimes have cylinder problems). Fortunately mine rev. is fine, so far. It was not target shooting, these were just 8 test shots. :)
Whatever floats your boat.

Guns are basically banned in my back water country (Australia).
It's possible, though. Look at Steve! ;)

I shot this:

Rem. Golden Saber .357 125grn JHP 25rd box $0.70 / round

I don't prove anything, I have fun. If you don't know what fun is, you must have a really sad life, man. Now stop watching my videos and upload yours. I bet you have the best videos ever...

I was unaware that in order to have "fun" I must make a video.

Evidently, I've being having fun the wrong way for several decades now. How did people have fun before the invention of the video camera?

Don't kid yourself honey, you make your videos in full surplus camo to validate yourself. And you fail in the process, because you just look foolish and amateurish.

That's why the whole "mall ninja warrior" meme exists - because it's just childish nonsense make-believe. You should change your blog to "thechildinblack"...

At least until you stop shooting videos attacking water bottles in your mom's backyard.

Internet = serious business :P

Let's say you are a fantastic genius with great wisdom. lol
People shouldn't waste their time on Internet-arguments, just think about it.

Arguing? I thought I was merely stating the obvious, what is there to argue about?

I've been thinking about a pistol/carbine combo in .40 or .45 acp

I've been checking out the B&T APC9 & APC45. Both the shorty receiver & the long one (though the long receiver also comes with an overly long barrel, i'm hoping they might chop it a bit).

Either way, neato lil' thing. AR15 triggergroup, TMP/MP9 magazines, picatinny rail integrated with the barrel for proper allignment, nearly fully ambi (charging handle swaps sides, preventing it from being truly fully ambi).

I was initially checking out the CZ Scorpion EVO3 S1, but I've heard some horror stories (true or false?) so I couldn't buy that with a clear conscience.

It's too bad the MSAR MCS never got finished, because that would have been a cool combo with a glock.

Just as a curiosity:
Scorpion EVO is a successor of slovakian Laugo LG 205 submachine gun, we have sold patent to the Czech company Ceska Zbrojovka. There is also a slovakian VMS-07 9mm submachine gun, which is very light and fully ambidextrous in comparison with Scorpion EVO. If I remember correctly, VMS 07 submachine guns were exported to Canada, but I don't have any idea if they are available even in USA.

I don't know if it's available in the U.S. or not - the ATF decides on whim from day to day what can and cannot be imported.

I'd imagine a Swiss version of the HK UMP will not be cheap. I can get the CX4 for about $700-800...

They make it in .45 now, so I don't have to add another caliber to my stockpile.

Well... if they pinned the stock (or put on a non folder and shipped the folder separately), added a 16" barrel and then modified the mag well to take single stack mags... sure it might get in.

Then someone would have to fix it (preferably not Century Arms)

Got back from the gun show a little while ago. Yall called it on the flea market shit and awful prices ($550-$650 WASR-10s on pretty much every table). Even the Nagants were $120-$149,

Wasn't all bad though, I came home with a 1954 Tula Armory SKS (all matching serials and sexy as fuck) for $400. Has two little dings in the stock, but other than that it's in great condition. Will post pics later.

Now I've just got to ditch the stock and slap on a tapco with rails, lots of rails.

Kidding.

Anyway, any tips on what to use to clean the stock? Google isn't being particularly helpful as everything seems to be about how to REFINISH the stock, and I definitely don't want to do that.

Does anyone have any reliable information on the current wait time for the ATF paperwork to clear for a suppressor? Is it still 5-6 months or has it increased? I am about to start the process and curious what I am in for.

I can imagine a world without violence, without hatred, without criminals, a world that has no need for guns, police, armies and wars. I can imagine a world that only knows love, peace and understanding.

I can also imagine that we would attack this world, because they would never expect it and such a world must have a lot of neat things to take.

This is the gun owners thread, DB, not the troll around looking for arguments thread.

I'm a gunowner. How is posting a humorous gun related joke - trolling for an argument?

Just curious as to how you reach the conclusion that my post was an attempt at "trolling"...

Right, posting a context-less, provocative quote is obviously not an attempt at trolling.

Stick to the topic of the thread. You want to discuss stuff like that, make a new thread.
