The Guns and Ammo Thread

For 'professionals only' sounds quite hilareous to me - as if military/police citizens should have more rights than the average citizen...
Euhm, european weapon's shows are "for professionals only" in the same way that the SHOT show is for professionals only. An example is IWA in Germany.

It doesn't mean LEO & mil, it means if you're in the business. The business being either gun dealers or press. There are a few that cater to LEO & mil, but that's the exception. Of course, plenty of gun dealers give invites out to their best customers.

Also, that .450 monstrosity? How does it compare to Beowulf?

I have no idea from any firsthand experience. (see how easy that was)

To your other point - I didn't mention the SHOT show, but rather gunshows open to the general public.

Do you have gunshows open to the general public?

No, you didn't, but I used SHOT as a fitting example to describe stuff like IWA.

And yes, we do have gunshows open to the public. Usually 75% of the guns there are what you'd call C&R though.

How are sales handled at gunshows? Do you have to do background checks like we do?

Which countries have gunshows?

C&R stuff (we call it HFD, historical, folklorical & decorative firearms) over the counter, the rest only if you have a permit for it or if you have a sportshooting license.

I know we do, dunno about other countries.

Interesting. Are the HFD firearms functional? Can you buy firearms from other countries?

What country do you live in?

Here, I can buy long guns in any state, but I can only buy handguns or class III firearms in my home state.

Belgium.
HFD weapons are fully functional, but you cannot own ammo for them (that requires either a permit or a license).

I can buy weapons from other countries, but that requires paperwork (import consent etc).

Belgium...

In Bruges: What's Belgium famous for? Chocolates and child abuse, and they only invented the chocolates to get to the kids.

Somehow I think it will tip in the favor of culture like a big fat fucking retarded fucking black girl on a seesaw... opposite a dwarf.

Don't knock the Belgians, for serious, they made french fries, belgians waffles, and the glorious John Moses Browning deigned to work with them.

Belgium is one of those places that could go without a government and no-one notice anyways.

Oh yeah, luckily I live in Aachen which is right next to Belgium, and we have a lot of belgian chocolate shops and belgian french frie shops. It's awesome, because their french fries are simply superior to everything.

I think I forgot to post a pic of my para-ordnance P10 .45 Warthog, didn't I?

It came with two extended mags that hold thirteen rounds so I'm kinda amazed I made it home without going on a shooting spree...

edit: sorry, forgot to mention this is a stock photo - haven't had time to upload pics of my own just yet

Plastic teen gun? Are you mildly retarded? The Para Warthog is stainless steel with a coated finish.

The grips are rubber - no plastic in the gun at all. The grips on your 1910 however are bakelite - a cheap, fragile early form of plastic...

ps - bakelite: invented by a belgian!

:-) don't insult me man, it was only sarcasm. Enjoy your shooter big guy.

Thanks, I enjoy all my guns.

But to be clear, that wasn't sarcasm - it was an incorrect assumption based on a lack of knowledge.
